Tesco vs. Asda and acceptance of Coupons

How does Asda compare to Tesco regarding the acceptance of coupons. Getting tired of Tesco's ever changing policies with these vouchers. Thinking of starting to shop at Asda instead.
Anybody have any luck at Asda?

I had 2 manufacturers coupons rejected by the checkout girl at ASDA High Wycombe on Sunday because I hadn't bought the items. Never had this problem at Tescos.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0

Local Asda started a two coupons if not bought policy a few weeks ago. As always, dependant on operator.0

Asda Castlepoint are a bit picky but Tesco's seem to take anything (along with Sainsbury's coupons) but have started to refuse the Home Solutions ones that can be printed off (need to but the product now apparently!)
I agree-always go with a non-grumpy looking till person!0 -
I had 5 of same coupons last week. I asked cashier in Asda if she'd take all of them and she said yes.
She also added that coupons had to amount to no more than 10% of bill.
Has anyone else found this?0 -
The official answers always say that the number of coupons of the same type accepted if the product isn't bought is at the discretion of the store manager. The 10% rule does come up in some stores, sufficiently often to make me think it has at some point been a policy.
I usually go round twice now. This prevents having to put a great wad of vouchers through one operator (which to be fair must be very annoying for them because they have to cancel each one by writing on it). Generally I get one picky operator and one who isn't.0 -
Tesco tonight would only accept one coupon for something I hadn't bought.
Still managed £8 though ;D ...she kept saying have you got this, I just braved it out and said oh yeah I've got one of those, even though I hadn't actually got some of the items. :o I wouldn't normally be so daring but I had loads of stuff and a double points voucher.
The cashier had two choices; start scouring my receipt (about 2ft long) or take my word for it and as she was closing guess it went in my favour!Laughter is the sun

My Asda would only accept two vouchers per visit, I've had better luck at Tesco0

My Asda is usually ok but can sometimes get the 'only 10% of your bill' thrown at me.
I try every time and usually I get all my coupons used approx £8. Hubby was with me today and found it embarrassing to wait while she tried a few times to scan the non-scan coupons before putting through as non-scan. ;D ;D ;D
Could hardly say - oh those ones don't scan, in case she refused them!
Nice to save.0
