Diverting landline to a mobile - cheapest

Hi, this is my first post so please be kind.

I am in the market for a new contract mobile on any network but in particular I want to be able to divert my BT landline to it. So I can recieve my home telphone line calls when I am out and about.

Can anyone give me any guidance as to what the cheapest/best way to do this is. Currently my landline is with BT and mobile with Orange, but it all works out very expensive.

I have tried registering with 18185 for cheaper calls to the mobile, but BT does not apear to accept the 18185 acess code when setting up the divert.

Any help would be much appreciated - thanks.
