There, there *puts arm round Molly* Sit down and have a nice cup of tea to regain your composure.:D It can be just as bad on the Disability & Dosh board at times, which is why I very rarely venture there now.:( I don't know why people bother posting if they're just going to be unpleasant.A very early start for me and have been frightening myself reading the benefit boards. Honestly there are some very opinionated and bigoted people around. Now why did I even stray over there? I know I should stay here
Well done young Miss Mix.
Happy Anniversary NPM
Jackieg (((HUG))) I am so very sorry to hear your news; may your BIL's journey to the Summerlands be a pleasant and peaceful one.
Mr LW is wfh today, so apart from feeding him intravenous tea, not much OS is getting done. Oh, I did wash a couple of tops and a load of my underwear (otherwise I'd have been resorting to blue paint before long):D and we had pasta with cheese sauce for dins (main meal lunch time when he's wfh) *rolleyes* and I've got this week's CAMRA paperwork out of the way, so one less task to do at the weekend.:o
Tried to get a GP appointment, but the online appointments system is down.:( It's not urgent, just want a chat about Rheumy reinstating my Plaquenil (of which I still have a supply) so I've put in a repeat request for both types of Morphine (tablets and liquid) and will speak to the receptionist when I go to collect that next Thursday.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Gloves! leather if you can stretch to it or those ones where the finger-ends pop off. Spent many a year in my youth with horses and this time of year you need good gloves - wooly ones are no good (unless they are fingerless ones) but leather ones or some with rubberised grips on would be good? like slipper socks - but for hands.... I'll go now
JackieG still thinking of you and yours hun x
I was totally thinking gloves
Warm winter ones were a must when i used to ride. Went to countrywide, but not impressed with the selection, will take a trip on the weekend to some horsey shops around and see what i can get.
Spent £30 on baking things
making the girls at work some mini ginger bread houses this week. and couldn't help myself when i got to decorations, and bits and bobs. Got some bargains too though, 1/2 cake decorating kit in sainsbobs, you got cutters, icing etc for less than the cutters on their own!
Going to get in the kitchen shortly

Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs NPM  That year has gone fast
I didn't do a full post this morning with JackieG's news, it knocked the wind out of my sails. I hope her DS is ok, because he was so upset last week when he went to see him, it is awful to lose a loved at any time, but near to Christmas always seems to be a lot worse.
Hester it just goes to show how crafty some firms are becoming :mad:. I hope that your DH is treated a lot more fairly in his new job.
I had to go to town to pay a bill this morning and couldn't believe that the bank has had a posh refit, but seem to have less staff at the counter:mad:
Chicken stew for dinner tonight, because it is set to be bitterly cold according to the forecast Brrrrr.
i must get the house looking tidy, because it looks like a bomb had hit it this morning.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

            Afternoon all!
JackieO - thank you
your family are blessed to have you, and I love the fact that they really do appreciate you, your posts always leave a warm glow!
NPM - congrats, have a super dooper weekend
Well I have done nothing except unload and load the dw, bung some washing in and throw stuff in bm! I have cuddled and snuggled dd4, she wants to be tickled all the time and laughs uproariously when you kiss her at the same time! Anyway weather got worse so I decided shopping could wait, we won't starve, and besides cuddling is more fun! So a kind of OS day - we entertained ourselves at home lol!
Also been looking at other ideas for making decs this year, trouble is I then get distracted by the rest of the blog! But going to give little birds and twiggy stars a go later I think, will keep me and dd3 out of mischief tonight!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

            Oh Ladies,
Didn't want to add to my post this morning as it was so sad...my ramblings mean nothing.
So, I've taken my old lady to the hairdressers, done her cleaning, then done my 3hours from Tues. Dropped PF ironing back to the big house too. Walked houndettes for an hour, home mopped and wiped now on here. You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket

            Hello all,
I'm back!!
Firstly deepest sympathy to Jackie and family, such sad news.
Apologies if I've missed anyone else's bad news, I hope you're all ok and plodding on as we must.
Well, New York was wonderful but my feet and ankles kept swelling up with the miles and miles of walking we did. The Ground Zero 9/11 memorial fountains were very moving, I had not expected them to be that big (they are each the footprint of the tower that stood where they are), I had also not expected to be so affected by them. It made me remember the day it happened, I was at work and we watched it on the news, not quite believing it was real.
I'd better go as tea is cooking (roast beef dinner - yum!)
Hugs and love to all.

Yes my DD and her Dad also really enjoyed themselves but didn't go to the memorial as my DD was particularly affected as a youngster when it actually happened.
I hope you have taken precautions regarding the Bed Bugs
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: In joke with my family regarding my latest obsession !!!
Jackie G - love to you and yours xxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
