We saved £8 at B&Q yesterday, with the over-60s 10% discount. Am saving this towards our total :)

Husband got £20 from Open Mic, so am saving this too!

    £28 so far!

*high five* Well done! £1990 to go for you! May you have many more savings!

I got confirmation that I will get ergonomic equipment (which I should have got 6 months ago) which amounts to over £1.5k, but I'm in two minds about including in this total. It feels immoral as I didn't earn it and I certainly didn't win it as I only have it as I'm now registered disabled, I'd much prefer to be healthy and get a normal part time job. But it would make the total more than achievable... Urgh
  • Would love to join this!

Have been doing mystery shops for about 6 months now, and a few survey sites so will be adding these to my total. Also use quidco quite alot so hopefully will make some there too.

Got engaged over Christmas, so this will be going towards our wedding fund for summer 2013!

£2012 in 2012 is a great idea and would be a massive help to my Halifax credit card! I am not going to count savings as some people are, I'm only going to count extra actual money that I can physically pay off my card.

So I'll need to get back into mystery shopping, surveys, clicks etc and I'll give Ebay and Amazon one last go but nothing seems to shift so I might have to give up on those and just chuck everything!

I'll be off to a slow start though as I'm in Australia for 3 weeks in Jan so can't really start until Feb! :D
    2019 will be my year!!
  • Already got £300 tracked in quidco from 2011, but won't be paid til 2012. Wonder if I should count this as I actually saved it in 2011...

Another newbie here! Been lurking on mse for a while but this thread has made me sign up. Can you add me to the list please.

I'm going to count getting rid of my car as its not really needed so I think I'll go for £4024 in 2012. I want that to be in cash savings at the end of the year.

This is the year I cut down on the gambling as well!
  • Can I please join, never done this before and looking forward to it, could you also send me the excel sheet- thanks!

    Hi,

I would love to join in this challenge; please add me in. I am planning to start £2 a day challenge in 2012 + selling unwanted staff on ebay/Amazon. I also want to save £10 a week travel money (as have free travel from work) and make some little money from Shopandscan, quidco and sites like Music Magpie and CashBee.

I would also love the excell spreadsheet please. Thank you
