Everyone added, we now have 108 challengers hoping to reach over £217,000

I will email out the spreadsheets today.

Everyone remember if you would like the spreadsheet please PM me with your email address, I cannot send it by PM.

Just two days til kick off!! I have my first £8 in money off coupons, I am awaiting 2 PPI reclaims and hopefully a tax rebate that i am fighting at the moment.

I have been comping like mad, seriously over 300 in the last three days, I have a couple of books to list and have been clicking on archerfish about 3 times a days.

Hope you all have your plans in place. Looking forward to being able to give the first update on 31 Jan.

Good Luck money makers and happy new year!!!!

  • To those of you who eat out fairly regularly an excellent investment would be a Taste Card. It offers 50% (or 2-4-1) off restaurant food bills, with thousands of restaurants/bars included. Some nice chains (Zizi's, Ask, Gourmet Burger, Pizza Express, La Tasca) as well as local restaurants. Also some hotel chains are included so food at their bars/restaurants are included on it (Hilton, Crown Plaza, Thistle, Holiday Inn)

Think the full price is £60 for the year, but I got one for £30. Even at £60, its well worth it as it should pay for itself within 4 or 5 meals out for two. They offer free 30 day trials too. I got a 30 day trial, then my girlfriend got a 30 day trial too, but didn't use hers. She then got offered the full year half price, so that may be the trick to getting one half price. We must have saved over £120 since October! There are some restrictions, some restaurants only take one card per 2 people, some are 6 people, some don't do Friday or Saturday nights, some only accept it if you book on the day but its all explained by little symbols next to each restaurant.

The Gourmet Society also run a similar scheme, but I haven't found it as useful as its a bit more restrictive. Some restaurants only do 25% off with this one. Also on this one, The Living Room deal is 2-4-1 on each course, but you must have three courses each to get the deal. Taste Card is only two courses that you have to buy (but can have three if you want and all three are included). I got a three month trial through work and then paid for a year after that with Nectar points (2000 i think).

Hope this helps for some tasty savings! If you eat out at least once a month and the places you like are on the list, then it should pay for itself and more quite quickly! If there are two of you and you just have a main course of around £8 each and eat out once a month, thats £8x12 = £96. Gives you a £36 saving even if you pay full price.

Sorry, but as a newbie I can't post links yet, but if you google taste card or gourmet society it should be pretty easy to find

    Debt-free and Proud!
Please can I join in? I'm trying to sign up for as many challenges as I can to help me get debt free by the end of 2012 and hopefully have some savings too :)

I'll earn my money through surveys, multibuys, loyalty cards and I really must look into some cashback sites to join. I also have a PPI claim DH is dealing with for me so fingers crossed I'll succeed:)

    Good luck everyone!

    Hello everyone

Never done anything like this before, but can I join up? Have managed to book a month long holiday this year (hurrah!) and neither me nor the other half will be paid during the trip as we're both self employed, so I'd like to use this 'pot' to cover the our lost earnings.

I'll be ebaying, cashbacking and hoping to get inspired by others!

    Hope I'm not too late...

    Many thanks
    Fluff

I'll have to lean how to put those totals at the end of my posts....

Oh, I just realised I've saved about £10K on the flights for the above mentioned holiday - by using airmiles and flying first class - not sure I can count this as I would never fly first class otherwise! :T
