    PAYDBXMAS23 #26 £5000/£5000 paid

  • Well done!

I'm almost there as well, unfortunately though I haven't put all the money to good use however, I have as of yesterday cleared the washing machine that I brought on my Next account in August, cleared the overdraft that we had just after Christmas and this morning I made my first over payment to my final debt!
I'm expecting a minimum of £129 in the next couple of days so that will go to clearing that debt.
Cabot (0%) left to pay £2455 let the overpayments commence! :D

    Congrats Clipperty!!! Wow, well done!!

I'm having a better month although I still think it'll be a challenge to meet the £2012 by the end of the year. No overtime, tax rebates or money from friends due to me, so I'm going to have to count every little penny. Oh, well, all the more fun! :p

We had confirmation that our remortgage application has been approved so just the solicitors paperwork to do now. That's going to make a huge difference.

I'm being very frugal with the girls this half term, lots of face painting going on at home rather than trips out! They don't seem to be too bothered, we're making pizza today so I expect there to be lots of mess!
  • Can't wait till payday next fri as things are getting tight now (food went over budget  ) and I don't want to dip into the savings. On a positive note have got a little cleaning job every other week so that will be an extra £40 a month to save and seeing someone else today about a weekly cleaning job which would be £20 -£30 a week so if that comes off that will be at least an extra £120 a month to save:j and I am starting my direct sales business at the beginning of March as well and already have some parties booked so hopefully a few extra pennies there and it will also save me buying the products at full price in the future so another saving there:T It will be great to be finally able to contribute to the household income again without having to compromise on always being there for the children:D

So next fri the total should go over the £1k mark:j BUT we have still got to get a new bed for my little man and have an oil change on the car but I can't bear to dip into those savings now!:o

Same here - everything is so expensive isn't it. They've done face painting too and yesterday I had my DS as a tiger and DD as what she said was a film star but looked a bit like a vampire!!!!

Lifebeginsagain well done with the jobs; that extra money will really help out won't it :T:T

  • And forgot to say, back to the selling next week when the children are back at school. I can't recommend the Facebook local selling pages enough (local facebook groups set up by people to post a link to your selling photo album you set up in your photos - people then comment or send you a message if they'd like something and you arrange for them to collect it) it's saved me a fortune in ebay fees:j

Mumof2 - you seem to be doing really well with your food budget, does that include toilettries, cleaning products etc...? is that for four of you?

I tried the local Facebook groups but had no interest whatsoever - Netmums has worked fairly well for me but going to have to resort to ebay I think.

The grocery challenge is for everything for all 4 of us. I do a list and stick to it (hard though it is!) and try not to have to go to the local shops and top up as it's so much dearer. I get our milk from Lidl/Iceland as the milk is £1 there whereas £1.19 at Mr T - and we get through a good 4 pints a day!!!!

I have £60 ish so far this month, but have £9 to come from a tesco overcharge double the difference.

I have £6 worth of coupons to use so that is another £15.00 guaranteed.

I am waiting on a small tax rebate for hubby and have 3 PPI claims ongoing. I also have 4 small items on ebay with watchers. Other than that I am stumped as to how I am going to manage?!?!

    Oh and well done clipperty.

Anyone who hasnt already done so, please PM me your Jan totals.
