LIDL Parking Charge Notice

Options
Hi, I am new to this forum but have done LOTS of reading, particularly on LIDL parking notices.

My husband does shop in LIDL and received two of these in one week during November and when I googled Athena to pay them, I stumbled across this site. Needless to say it caught my attention.

I showed my husband (and his father) all the comments and made them watch the Watchdog videos on YouTube. We have ignored the two tickets and received our first FINAL REMINDER yesterday for ticket number 1. It said that my husband was the driver, (even though they have no proof), and were also informed that our details may be passed on to a debt collection agency. I am feeling very brave still but I have a feeling my husband is starting to feel a bit jittery. I will keep showing him these threads and indeed the Solicitor/Ann Robinson YouTube clip to keep him bolstered.

A BIG thank you to everyone who has posted on here about these parking charges. If it wasnt for this website/forum I would have paid both the tickets. We have put the £90 saved to good use and booked a Christmas Day family dinner at our local

Ask your Husband to decide an amount he feels he would not pay, for I have a shock for him, paying two of these and then paying the LATE PAYMENT CHARGES which are the second and third sting of the scam will leave him around £450 out of pocket.
Is this enough to persuade him not to give the bullies his dinner money.

  • You are right. Just continue to ignore everything from them. Do not make any contact with them and it will soon stop.

Vax2002 - crikey, when you put it like that, it puts a whole new perspective on things. A sum that would have him quaking in his shoes. I will show him this and I can imagine the descriptive language now lol. Thanks.

Shortchanged - I feel kind of excited to receive the next one.

I just recieved a ticket from Anthena. Apparently, the car was parked for 9 HOURS straight! in Lidls. Of course it was not. Not only this they sent out an intial letter 'fining' £90 when the signs says 'maybe £50'. Thieves.
  • Next Update - I have now received 2 x Notice of Collection Proceedings, dated the same even though the alleged contraventions took place some 5 days apart. They have joined the others on my notice board so I can feel smug that they aint getting a penny out of us :D

The Christmas Dinner inadvertently paid for by this Forum was lovely so thank you :xmassmile
Seasons greetings to all forum posters
