think youve been stung? you paid LESS yes LESS than i did for a single small part from renault that is essential to start my car, i paid £362.01 for a steering lock mechanism,$(KGrHqR,!loE4ly(c,31BOVlfvG+cQ~~48_12.JPG and not this is the OLD TYPE wich is cheaper, the new one is £300.86p+vat=£361.

without that your renault wont start.

ive had the old one open and all there is inside is a £1.50 PCB board with chip a motor like you get in a remote control car, a single sliding cog, the lock pin 2 springs and the rest is plastic inside the metal case you see here.

your service only was cheaper than my small single part without fitting.

Witney tyres (local tyre specialist) quoted 84 quit fitted for continental tyres. They were shocked to here I paid 102 pounds for budget tyres.

Kwikfit online price was 89 for continental tyres but they have a drive in price of 130.

    So it's about right.
90 to 130 is about 2/3 of the price,
blackcircles online price of 72 to the 103 you paid is the same ratio.
So you got exactly the same from the dealers for a drive in price that you would have with the drive in price on kwik fit.

Ah but you are paying for the knowledge and creativity that created that Heath Robinson contraption.

I had a Citroen Picasso diesel where the low pressure pump in the tank failed, "oh they all do that" "£250 plus a tow charge will do nicely". If they all do it why fit it:mad:

When toyota did my iq3, the bridgestones they could fit were £140 each. Online I could get the tyres for £110 each mytyre)+ fitting, not a common fit I don't think. They could price match that, and include fitting too.

Budget tyres they sold for £90, I asked for make (nanking) which mytyre did for £50 each, and toyota couldn't get anywhere near that, manager was pretty shocked.

Ended up with a set of falken winters from mytyre which look bloody good for the price

....... at £100 all in for a new battery i decided to have a new one and i really noticied the difference when driving home as it wasnt as throaty sounding as it had been previously. .....

I hate to disillusion you but a new battery does not change the sound a car makes when being driven
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....
  • I guess the fact that last week, Toyota launched their own version of Fixed Price Servicing shows that they're listening to their customers and doing something about it.

Have a look... at least you know exactly what you're paying and the prices are pretty competitive.

When it comes to safety, I know who I'd rather have taking care of my Toyota...
  • nor do you have the time to check anything properly

If you were to perhaps CHECK your own tyres once a month then you'd know that they were getting low...?
