I posted on Tuesday night about the imutual agm and the fact that I recommended the site as probably the best cashback site. I did NOT post any links nor did I ask for any referal benefit.

It might have something to do with the fact that the man behind Imutual, Richard Yendall, was also the director of both Cashback Kings and R Points. They went into liquidation last December leaving thousands of people out of pocket.

Richard Yendall has said himself that postings have been made to spread the word about I-Mutual effectively free Company publicity/promoting which is not what MSE is supposed to be about after all what has an AGM by any Company have to do with Money Saving, the one you say you posted about only 50 members felt able to vote despite voting having taken place online.

It is not possible for I-Mutual to be the best cashback site when TCB offer :

bristolleedsfan - please confirm how much money is avaialble for daily clicks at topcashback then please do go and have a look at imutual where I think there is a factor of 15 more. I appreciate that not all cashback seekers are into the daily clicks but a lot of us are. Remember that at imutual you get shares as well as 100% cashback.
I think the subtle point you missed, bristolleedsfan, is that when you join imutual you become a shareholder (for free) and therefore the agm has everything to do with being a moneysaver.
Coopdivi - thank you for your reply. I knew about the rpoints link but I firmly believe that everyone should make their own mind up once they have found out as much as they can. The rpoints fiasco was complicated and almost entirely caused by a errant director (not Richard Yendall). You can find out more about this by searching for rpoints on the imutual site.
I would encourage all who are interested in cashback sites to check out imutual and read the history of what happened at rpoints for themselves.
There are various guarantees at imutual which might suprise you. Like many on here I am member of almost all of the cashback sites but over the last year have diverted most of my spending via imutual. Why not check it out and decide for yourself?

Hi Aupt
I wasn’t aware that either this thread or your post which I quoted was about daily clicks –
This post was about daily clicks

And so was this one :

Pretty certain that you invited a MSE Forum discussion on what I-Mutual AGM had to do with MSE Forum and that “I recommended the site as probably the best cashback site”
I-Mutual biggest member Shareholder ( Shareholding value of course NIL) previously started a thread on MSE - No Spend Section – free shares – This thread was also deleted by MSE forum team for apparent reasons as lets face it anyone can start a company up offering free shares worth nothing if that action was going to attract new members/customers to it via free advertising on MSE – Might as well start a thread on free sand found on a beach – same value - nothing :rotfl:
So two different threads started by two I-Mutual members, one about free shares worth absolutely nothing and the other about its AGM both deleted by MSE forum team answers what I-Mutuals shares and I-Mutuals AGM have to do with Moneysaving- Absolutely Nothing
Reasons why I-Mutual cannot possibly be the best Cashback Site -
Two other 100% Cashback sites also with no fee pay more than 100% cashback more often than I-Mutual do namely Topcashback and Getpoundsback
TCB have HCP which means in rare event that I-Mutual were to offer a higher rate than TCB, TCB will match the rate + pay appropriate loyalty % rate on top of matching the I-Mutual rate.
I-Mutual is the only 100% cashback site that doesn’t award payments to its members as soon as it receives payments from the networks so if say Best Price So far pays 1 Month following the click which it tends to do I-Mutual members have to wait until the stated anticipated award date to be paid which is 3 Months after click date –
Very strange how I-Mutual will change an anticipated award date from three months to four months due to later payments yet wont bring forward some anticipated award dates due to regularly earlier payments. e.g - B.P.S.F

This example is Pennies, same applies if transaction is Pounds
I-Mutual cant compete with Quidco or TCB for either volume enhanced Cashback rates or exclusive Cashback offers.
I do agree with you that I-Mutual ( As is GPB) is very good for daily clicks and other no spend offers – long may that continue
As for I-Mutual shareholders ( Shareholdings worth zero) being able to vote the companies director(s) in or out all Cashback Site members of all Cashback sites have ultimate power if there is something about the Cashback site or the running of it that they don’t like to vote with there fingers and click elsewhere to another Cashback Site. :rotfl:
Also worth pointing out that not only are I-Mutual shares worth nothing, no dividend was paid either and I-Mutual reported first year of trading as a loss despite not paying out any referral fees in money, no forum competitions funded by I-Mutual paid as money, all "Spread the word" about I-Mutual incentives e.g Tweeting paid as free shares worth nothing.

Hi bristolleedsfan
I still stand by what I said that imutual is probably the best cashback site.
I was taking into account all aspects of how most members use such sites including, but not limited to, daily clicks, exact value of 100% cashback, active forums, fast response to problems and, possibly most significantly, cashback reliability.
As I have stated before I have used virtually all of the cashback sites over the years (yes I really do mean that). Like all members I have suffered from most sites not paying on clicks for one reason or another. TCB are certainly not immune to such problems. Having good cashback rates is no good if, for whatever reason, you end up gaining nothing! A quick read on these and TCB's own forums indicates that they are having increasing problems.
I would like to point out that any problems I have had on imutual are quickly sorted out. I appreciate that this is my own personal experience but there is no doubt that having one of the directors active on the site virtually every day helps sort out most problems.
I have no personal connection whatsoever with Richard Yendall but I have to say that it irritates me how quickly some people seem to attack him. I have always been careful to make my own mind up and not rely on the opinions of others and that is exactly what I was inviting people to do in my original post. Much information on the rpoints saga is in the public domain and I would urge anyone in the dark to find out the facts. ( A good starting point is on the imutual site where Richard talks about it in great detail and also explains how the imutual model is a better way forward for cashback sites ). It was also worrying how quickly MSE seemed to delete any threads about imutual although I can now see that my post could in the strictest terms come across as spamming (although not sure how/why given that I wasn't seeking, nor would I have gained, anything)
Imutual shares might not be worth very much at all at the moment but who knows what they will be worth in 10 years time? Even if they aren't worth much, I am puzzled as to why that is so important given that you get the 100% cashback as well.
Anyway, with all things considered I do think that imutual is probably the best cashback site.
Kind regards and keep clicking

They are not worth anything at all "at the moment"!
And as they give out a share for every post made on the website (even if it's total tosh) they are just diluting them anyway!
Only a gullible would expect to get a divi for postings on a forum, never mind shares they can put into their pension pot!0 -
... but so what that the shares are worth not a lot at the moment (it is technically incorrect to say that they are worth nothing) they are a bonus - you still get the 100% cashback.
I'm not sure who said that they expected a dividend but you are a brave man if you are guaranteeing that these shares will never be worth anything.0
