Looking to buy my OH one for Christmas, around the £100 mark if possible - any tips on getting best VFM would be much appreciated!

Is apparently very good value for money (not got one myself but the SF1 got excellent reviews) and I *believe* it is easily unlocked.0

Thanks Mark, but - sorry forgot to mention - I'm looking for one on either Pay as You Go or Sim-Free. Yes, does look a bargain though!0

o2 have a few sub £100 PAYG android phones at the moment, & are offering a £20 gift voucher (by redemption & within 30 days)
I'm not sure if they are unlocked, but I know a giffgaff sim will work in them, & you can get 250 mins, unlimited text & unlimited internet for £10 a month on PAYG
I've gone for the Sony Ericson Xperia Mini Pro at £130 for the OH's Christmas present, the cheapest Android they have is £80.0

Thanks Teesea, will head over to their site now, sound brilliant! 0 0

Does it actually need to be unlocked, or is it a case of you husband is on (say) vodafone, so it either needs to be a vodafone payg handset or unlocked?
Check Topcashback and quidco for cashback for the various providers......0

He's on 02, so that would work well, but I'm wondering if there are better deals with other networks - been reading good things about 3 and GiffGaff on here. Will have a look at the Quidco, I do have an account and keep forgetting to use it, so thanks for the reminder!0

I have the Orange San Francisco. You can get it from Argos on PAYG for £100.
They is a great modding community behind the San Francisco too. Within an hour of buying mine I had it unlocked and debranded, getting rid of all the built in Orange Apps. All totally free.
There is also the Monte Carlo but I have no experience of that.0

Thanks again everyone - still haven't made my mind up, but the Acer Liquid Metal looks good. Probably nicer to give an unlocked phone as a gift really.
I always get really hesistant about buying my expensive presents in case they reduce them just before Christmas, been burned that way before!
 Really appreicate the tips. :j0
