Couldn't find this mentioned but just noticed AA Internet Extra (Issue 5) has been announced at 3.20% (including year's bonus). Wish they'd offered this last week when my previous issue went out of bonus and I closed it.

I apologise if I've made a mistake but I got it off the emoneyfacts daily bulletin, though you're right the AA website still shows the same rate from August 2011. This should be the link.

The link says w.e.f. 8.12.11 (ie tomorrow, at the time of writing)0

Thanks for that - missed that it was w.e.f. tomorrow when I did the original post. I might open one as I quite liked the previous issue until the bonus ran out.0

I wonder if they'll change my interest rate, as they haven't changed the issue number to effectively make it a "new" account. I've noticed the site is now updated with the new rate, but when I login my summary still shows 2.60%. I have emailed them but are not confident of a reply - they seem to only want to discuss savings accounts by phone (particularly ironic as it's an internet saver account), and as I currently only have a PAYG mobile with no credit on it, I'm reluctant to waste a fiver trying to get through their 0845 system.0

I rang and was answered straight away, went through security questions etc., and they have transferred my issue 4 to issue 5 so receive 3.20% from tonight. I haven't phoned them before so will see how it goes, paperwork should arrive within 5 days.0

There is an 0800 number for AA savings on the saynoto0870 site - haven't tried it yet so don't know if there's a route through from there to someone that can handle this.
EDIT: tried it now but got through to the loans line :-(
I think the FAQ says there's no limit to the number of esavers you can hold, you could possibly just open another one. But FAQ also suggests you need to phone them to transfer from one online account to another.0 -
They will close the account with interest and open a new issue 5 account. Found it really easy to phone them tbh as I have previously gone through the process online.

Hi,
Excuse my ignorance, I'm thinking of opening the new AA fixed Saving 3.20%, If I were to put £10,000.00 in now and left it as £10,000.00 till it matures, will I gain the same amount at maturity, if I were to open with £100.00 and put £9,900.00 halfway through the year or towards the end instead? Will I gain the same amount of interest?
Is the interest gained throughout the year, or at maturity stage?0
