Did well yesterday 4.20 on a ms which I'll get back and bought a top i next clearance for £3 but used a gift card I got for my birthday so no spend there.

Today bought in a bit of OHs homemade shortbread so didn't have a treat from the shop - saved 50p :j

Tonight off to tescos, will do a list before I leave work though and we're pretty good at sticking to it , menu all planned - although I am going to look at clothes and get some I hope as I've got loads of vouchers to use. Must remember to stop at the petrol station on the way out too.

    69p left - I made £20 cash last 2 weeks (with £7 going on dinner in ikea):T

Looking forward to tomorrow a bit of shopping, a couple of ms's then out for a friends birthday.

NSD for me. Only got 6p on me in any case!! Brought lunch with me today and ate it at 11 am. Trying not to give in to the temptation to drive up the road to get cash out and buy chocolate.

Trying to eat more healthily and shed some weight too. ;)

  • I've been sitting here thinking about going out for lunch..but I'm determined to be good. I have a couple of slices of bread, plus a tasty (not) looking cup a soup - I also have a couple of cereal bars, a jar of hot chocolate and two squares of dairy milk chocolate.

There is barely anyone in the office, which I think is making me think about going out, but going to mse instead.

Will not go out..will not go out.....
  • I've bought lunch at work again - but it is my last day so I'm having a day off money saving and dieting! Don't wanna leave this job but it was a secondment and my old employer wants me back

Spent 2.45 on lunch and 50p on a book from the charity barrow in the staff roo (cos it's going for £2.99 on amazon so I'm gonna list it!) :money:

Also spent £11 on a ticket to a comedy club tongiht and will probably spend copious amounts on alcohol and a taxi home!

I was bad yesterday, got home late and we decided to go out for a pizza, so instead of a NSD day yesterday, I spent £16.70 on my half.

    £16.70 for half a pizza?

I was planning a NSD but i had a near nervous breakdown this morning with the laminater (dont worry i wont go into it) so would have had to spend a small fortune replacing it thankfully dad managed to fix it for me. rubbish day so went to shop and got a chicken mayo wrap and can of diet coke so spent £2.55. On the plus i won £100 at Bingo last night so paid off my credit card and am now off to cut it into tiny little pieces!! :j

Well I just power walked up the town for lunch, avoided all sarnie shops, anywhere that sells coke, or window shopping and posted my cheque in M&S instead of posting it in the Post Office (saved a stamp), got a link put back in my watch for free - the first jeweller wanted to charge me £10 yeah right! - Damn that weight gain! And bought the jobs paper, and picked up a freebie paper with it in Woolworths without buying choccie! YAY me!

Now - where to get boots reheeled for free........;)

I would say a NSD is where you don't spend any cash/credit on something you don't need. I.e. a sanwich, drink, food that you didn't plan to buy.

I agree - for me a spend is any unbudgetted item, and my casual spending is budgetted! (at present, £25 a week down from £50, subject to change) I don't necessarily strive for a No Spend Day so if do it's so I can spend my cash another day!

For instance, have £14 of my £25 left today and I 'pay' myself another £25 tomorrow, soooooooo I can either go out for £14 worth of drinks/food tonight without guilt ooorrrrrrr, I can keep it in my pocket and spend it next week.

    I'm thinking drinks...
