Much more fun on two wheels as well.
You can probably use the bus lanes yourself if you're on a moped/motorbike....;)0 -

You probably didn't jiggle enough when you were climbing

It's been quite a popular topic but PLEASE PLEASE don't pay orange £35 a month - you really don't need to. I have paid £0 for the last 3 years doing cashback deals.
Basically you have 2 options, firstly is get a good deal direct from 3 - This deal gives 300 xnet minutes and 1,000 texts for only £17.50 a month;
http://threestore.three.co.uk/offerdetails.aspx?offercode=18DT14D150
Wait for it, then go through Quidco.com and you will get £100 back from them - so that works out £11.94 a month!!!!
Next option is a cashback deal, however this is more tricky due to your huge text usage!! But you will still get a deal, go to https://www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk and take out a cashback deal (you get 60 days to send in your mobile bill, usually after 4,8,12 months) and they send you a cheque back each time (remember to always go through quidco).
Please don't pay £35 a month, its like throwing money away!!!!0 -
krayzechick wrote:I just looked on my internet banking to see what payments have gone out etc and it shows an excess overdraft charge of £30!!? I went over my limit by £3 in Dec (cheque cashed 1 day before the end of the month
) so they charged me on 2nd January, but I havent been over since then! In fact last month I still had £20 left....
Do I ring them and dispute it or do i have to go through the whole letter writing process??
Just rang them and apparently the charge is for when I went overdrawn in November by £2 at 10pm at night. I then got paid the next day at midnight. So they charged me £30 for being over for 2 measly hours
...yet with the same company I only get charged £12 for going over my cradit card limit, and they give me a few days notice to get some more money into the account?

If you do end up finding direct with orange is the only way for so many texts then get your boyfriends nus/ucas number and go here::beer:
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/students
You should also get free broadband so negotiate with your parents and they could cancel what they already have (if they have broadband).
Should work out cheaper0 -

Orange broadband I wouldnt touch with a barge pole! Everyone Ive known has had nothing but problems with them! Not being able to connect for days upon end, and then having dialup speed internet. We have an 8mb connection with Telewest (brilliant!) and its tied into our phone line and TV package.
My boyfriend doesnt have a NUS card, he forgot to renew! Ive asked about deals in the past and theyve said they couldnt offer me anything as it wasnt me card. bum!
Just rang O2 to try and change/down size my tariff and the woman on the other end really could give 2p whether I wanted to retain my contract or not! She said there was nothing they could do for me, I explained about lots of problems Ive had and she just said 'oh dear never mind' So stuff them!!!0 -

I cant get a 3 signal in my house though
the only 3 we've found to work are O2, Orange and Vodafone!
*edit*

It doesn't matter though because 3 uses the o2 network when you have no 3 signal so you won't have any problems!!
Re orange broadband, fair enough about the cable package. I have orange broadband and its been absolutely perfect from setting up to usage so I guess it swings and rounds abouts, I have heard of some people having problems on forums, not as bad as sky though! lol
Re o2: I'm afraid that with any company you are locked into they won't negotiate until your contract is due to expire. I'm sure o2 would offer some sort of deal at the end of your contract but not until then, which would be the same with any network.0 -

couldn't be easier, before you buy anything on the net log into Quidco and search for the shop on there. Go into the merchant and it will detail what you will get i.e. a fixed amount or % of spend etc. Then click on the quidco link to go to the shop and it will track your spend. Then a couple of months later you get your money! I've had around £600 from this so far0 -

I got my first £38 Quidco money in my Current Account yesterday. Also due £225 for Home Insurance purchase (which I haven't quite figured out yet as the Insurance was only £196
)which is in the Tracking stage at the moment. 0
