The Dolphin plan is unlimited text messages so this wouldnt matter would it? Thanks for the heads up though

i'm on dolphin and hadn't seen a bill for a couple of months cos the itemised billing costs £1.50 now and i've been away so not checked online. anyway my bill was more than just the £35 tariff and £6 insurance so i logged on to check and found the charge for delivery reports. i never use all the texts (unlimited but apparently 3000 is classed as fair usage) so it's not that i've used them up and been charged extra. it just gets added on automatically. good old orange eh? :rolleyes:0 -
Dont for heavens sake start a second contract while one is running. theres better options!!
WHat IS cheaper though is getting hold of a PAYG sim, with unlimited texts on, when you top it up. Now ive never had one, but someone should be albe to tell you, I think its O2 & virgin that have the best ones! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

There are unlimited texts PAYG sims?? The best one I've found is Orange 1000 texts when you top up over £30 (thats only a 1000 though whereas for the same money I get unlimited.)
[also i'd get another phone which I need as mine is broken!!!]0 -

I probably wont use 3000! I range from 1000-2000 (that was xmas!) texts!
They should introduce 'magic number' texts cos all mine are to the same person!
I will make sure I have delivery reports turned off though! Thanks for letting me know!0 -
Hi, and welcome.
Just a thought about your credit score - you may have been refused simply because your income is not that great. So, even if you have kept up with payments so far and have a "good" score (although some on here say that there is no such thing!) the low income may well go against you because they are considering whether you can afford to take out any MORE credit. they will not be looking at it for switching purposes like you are.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Is there any way of getting around this? I definately dont want any MORE debt, I just want to make what I have more manageable. I want my monthly repayments to actually make a dent, rather than just paying off interest all the time

Petrol - £70 (I travel 30 miles to work every day, and my boyfriend lives 120 miles away!)
Do you work every day? Either I'm driving in a really uneconomical way, or you have a very economical car, or you dont work 5 days a week..?
I travel 50 miles to work round trip, 5 days a week and then probably another 60 miles every other weekend visiting parents. My petrol costs me about £120 a month. What am I doing wrong?!
I'm in agreement with what other people have said about the gym. If you want to lose weight then there are other ways. I tried to lose weight for my wedding (and did so successfully)...I have very little motivation and didn't want to spend £30 a month on the gym. I bought a trampette for £15 (these are great fun, you can jog or jump on them while watching telly). And I also got myself a pedometer...these can be bought for as little as £6 and I found it gave me the motivation to take the stairs, or walk into town instead of taking the car, just so I could get more steps on my pedometer!
Hope that helps.0 -
What are the credit limits on your cards? What's the interest on the overdraft?
With the new salary £1000 and £35 for mobile - I work out that you have
income £1000
outgoings £891.35
balance 108.65
Enough to pay off the capital one in four months. When it's clear you can either cancel the card or leave it empty for a month and then ask for a transfer deal.
Adding the surplus and the current cap one payment to lloyds -
108+40+75 = £223
18 months you'd have the lloyds card paid off - less if you can get it transfered onto low interest or 0%.
I agree with the comments about the catalogue. It's interest free because the interest is really included in the cost. Shop around on internet for the same products.0 -

I work 5 days a week! I dunno what I do to save money on petrol, my car is kind of economical (only a little 1.2 corsa!) Petrol in my area is only around the 83.9p mark. I'm not altogether clued up on cars, but someone at work told me that if you go above 4000 revs it drinks petrol, so I stay below that. I also travel to work via the motor way so no stop/starts for me!
I agree the gym is something I could cut out if I was totally desperate, but seeing as its my ONLY luxury I really want to keep it
Its my only time out of the house, the only 'me' time I get. I'm forced to actually work out! I have gym equipment avaliable at home (its my mums and brothers), but I just cant get motivated to do anything (plus what they have doesnt suit me). Our house is to hectic and I cant find the time to concetrate on what im doing. The gym is also my night out with my best friend! So thats my social life! heheh ...I live about 15 miles from the town centre; a walk there may kill me!! heheh 0
