the whole point of my initial post was that it is way cheaper to rent houses around dorking/guildford than it is to buy0 -

i think it is the norm, rather than the exception...you just have to know where to look
here's another. this would easily sell for 500k and i bet i could rent it for 1100pcm

this one is much more expensive at 1650pcm, but look at it....how much would this cost to buy...at least 900,000 i would estimate...if not more.
