You say it's clear and I think it's clear but they would not sell me one at Blackhorse Road and KX/StPan Underground ticket office just last weekend.
  • livingthedream airliebird and iand the op went to kings cross station. so theres no problem if she cant buy the travelcard at the underground part then she go to the national rail part which is in the same building just a lower level. i cant believe you 3 have been rambling on about this like some kinda old ladies at a bingo nite. also the op is in london last friday so dont know how it will help them ;)

As there have been over 400 hundred views of this thread then perhaps people other than the OP may be interested. I wasn't told at the 'underground' ticket office that I should go to the mainline ticket office, I was just told that I would have to pay the full price for the travelcard. Others may be in the same situation and having read this post will know what to do.

If you can't give any useful advice then maybe you should consider not adding your comments at all.

I'm with you on this one. Railcard holders will more than likely travel to london via train into somewhere like Euston or Kings Cross, and for Underground staff to give blatant misinformation is wrong, especially as most visitors to the capital would probably require some sort of local travel ticket immediately after stepping off their mainline train. It's not too difficult for the underground staff just to be a little helpful from time to time and send the customer in the right direction...

Having said that, judging by the difficulty of retrieving information from TFL It wouldnt surprise me if the underground staff werent trained up fully on non oyster related transactions.
