if everyone i work with in the team and my manager ignores me pretty much every day except for the odd "are you doing this piece of work" and they sit talking to each other - is this bullying? I've been told it is but I feel like I'm being stupid!

Have you asked your manager why that seems to happen?0 -
Have you tried to engage them in conversation? The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!
4 people on the ignore list....Bliss!0 -
bullying is one of them things that occurs as a result of someones feelings towards an act rather than as a direct result of someones actions.
for example,
someone at work calls me a name and i laugh it off as banter = not bullying
someone at work calls me a name and i feel offended / upset = bullying
you know if it is bullying, go to hr make them log your complaint and then ask them why0 -
infact there is another obvious example that i have missed...
someone at work calls me a name and i laugh it off as banter, however someone else witnesses this and feels it was inappropriate and thus reports it to hr = bullying (despite there not being a complaint by the apparent victim0 -
They may simply just not like you very much.
Is this behaviour a recent development?Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

the manager is part of the problem. it seems to stem from the fact i dont drink.0 -

this has been ongoing since I started really.
plus we've had a lot of work on and manager gives it to other members of the team and I get nothing. I get paid less than all bar 1 on the team and I have had less training than members who started AFTER me
i've reached breaking point now - and although i do not want to walk out and ruin my career, i'm finding it hard not to0 -
do you have a hr department on site within your business?0
-
tell them that exactly how you feel and what it is that has caused you to feel like that.
start a work diary logging anything that happens as it happens with details about anything that was said and how it made you feel
make a note of everytime you go to hr and exactly what you support you do or do not get from them
build a file, if it gets too bad that you don't feel you can even go into work go to the doctors (don't accept any anti-depressents) you are feeling bullied not depressed0
