The guy posted a 50% saving on a camera that is absolutely fine for everyday use and for taking family and holiday snaps.I bought it for £50 from Tesco just before Christmas and was happy with my purchase.

Why are there always people waiting in the wings to shoot down a bargain.

    It's a digital camera, it's 6MP (one way or another) and it's £25.

Thanks for the spot, best of luck to all who get them.

I think the issue most people had was with the phrase "top quality", which would appear not really to be the case. That's not to say it isn't a bargain or wouldn't be 'just the job' for many people.

You can tell someone isn't a photographer when they boast about their Digital Zoom :)

    Ignore digital zoom.
    That is meaningless.

Do you mean the camera is noisy taking pictures or the photograph has noise? Can anyone comment on that please?
The noise is on the image. Having used a few Premier/Vivitar models, they struggle particularly with low light conditions. Fine as point-and-click cameras, particularly if you tend to take landscape shots (i.e. outside.)

The manufacturers make a lot of stuff, priced to sell.

For a good lens, a second-hand Canon would be a reliable choice. Fuji do some reasonable entry-level models too, and they aren't usually in high demand because of Fuji's choice of xD for media cards. It's worth a look around eBay.

Get the impression that the quality isn't great - but most likely - you could make a profit on ebay from them.

    Hi Nick
No offense, so what you were saying was that the snipers ignored the good spot and have nothing better to do with their time than pull the guy up for how he worded his post? That sort of nit picking nonsense discourages people from contributing.
I'll say it again "Thanks Roney"

    Cheers

    There we have it.

  • Surely it's not top quality compared to my Canon 400D DSLR :D

Anyway, it's a great camera for the price.
