Have been to look around another school today. It was lovely but only goes up to age 11 so not really an option as I only want DS2 to make one move. Picked him up to discover he has been in isolation all day and is excluded in school tomorrow.
WM is on, step stool has been flung as I have just broken it (confirmation that I need to lose weight), off to finish dinner xx0 -

Clean desk I'm working on this one... my study is still full of stuff as the spare room is still empty and BOTH of them are waiting for the electrics to be done...
HH paperwork/shredding Another work in progress. Filing done, but there is LOTS of paper to deal with, so I'm hoping to take it into the office on Wednesday to put in the confidential waste bit. Although bringing the shredder down and dealing with some of it would make for good firelighters...
Level Three
HH me time I've had far too much of this recently
Wash mats/shower curtains, etc Bathmat is still OK, as are hand towels. Shower screen done yesterday by cleaner
Collect all washing from around the house and wash One load washed and dried. There is more in the laundry bin, but no full load of anything.
Challenges
Sort out freezer or pantry or both! Attempting to eat my way through some of the stuff in the freezer... it's way too full
Write at least 1 set of Christmas cards All done now
Wrap at least 3 presents Did this yesterday... so only have OH's stuff and bits that I don't have yet to do
Post any cards/presents that need it. All cards done, just working out whether any presents need posting
Get your decorations up! I've got them out... so hope to get them up by the end of the weekend
Sort out them CDs - what do you never listen to? - get rid! Not going to get rid of them... I'm going to LISTEN to them
Sort that ironing mountain - either do it or put the clothes away and iron them as you need them/a drawer at a time so it's not glaring at you all the time. Nothing that needs doing... when I do the bedding I will get it done, but I MUST pay for the last lot
I need to call and arrange to get the garden cleared ready for winter, and the utility room work surface finished. And arrange for the trees to be done in January (most of the leaves have blown off now).
Need to decide on SIL's present. My mother's present is sorted, just waiting p.
Lots of work to do though, and my brain seems to be in hibernation...

The day seems to have vanished in a whirl of pratting about. I have done stuff, but the house is still a tip and I still haven't unpacked.

It's been so miserable here today - rain , hail and a lot of wind. I dont think the cats have been out since first thing.

A day of rushing around.
PC was broken at work so I made an executive decision and left early.
Posted my Christmas cards. I will hand deliver approximately 20 at school/neighbours.
2 x HHI done. £150 shop at Mr T.
DD2 is very excited about her school play tomorrow morning. DD1 is nervous about her driving test. It's at 8.30am and we would appreciate lots of passing test vibes.
My stubbed toe is very hot and painful. I've bunged some antibiotic cream in a gauze pad and am hoping that sorts it out.
NEWSFLASH - quadruple clubcard points on Tesco direct via Quidco until midnight tonight.0 -
Evening all
I am here but have not been posting just lurking!! I have had a better day as went to old house and filled 3 bin bags of rubbish and binned this. collected post and cleaned the fridge. It was very cold there as the electric was off and hence no heating at all.
Then picked up insulation from wickes (buy 1 get 4 free ) bargain I thought but didn't realize how big the rolls are - could only fit 2 in my dinky car - oops. Collected the other 3 today.
Still have lots to do and must vacuum/wash floors as the plaster dust is everywhere. Still electrician was here today and I now have working lights and sockets in the new bedroom. Plastering also finished and builder is coming back tomorrow to fit rads in bedroom and living room as I am so missing the coal fire.
I am working off my own list today but will have a look at the challenges and see what I can do. right time to get going again and do a HHC in the kitchen.

I have done lots of shredding and realised that quite a bit of the stuff that was in the bin in the study could actually be recycled. So most of it recycled, shredded paper used to light the fire, and lots of old loo roll innards that were in the firelighting basket have been stuffed with shredded paper. Shredder is full, and there is still some to go, but once the backlog is done I'll try to get into the habit of shredding as I work/file and then either light the fire with it or compost it. At least, that's the theory...0

On the laptop so I can type rather than just cut and paste. Planned for an exciting evening tonight......with thr iron! May even through caution to the wind and also do some shredding too.
