Very costly item not arrived from Amazon

I think some people in this thread are jumping the gun, but i'm certainly not one of them.
I missed the part where i said where do i stand legally. I don't see any edit marks, so i guess i never actually said it. Although please feel free to prove me wrong.
No, what i said was where do i stand. There's very likely been a misunderstanding of what i meant. What was meant was where do i stand - "what am i to do". Perhaps i should've put that instead. I wasn't looking to go down the legal route as it's early days.
your on a consumer rights forum, asking as you put it 'where do I stand'.
To move on though... you really must speak to Amazon. So many people have been on here having had issues with Amazon to realise their service has been spot on. Although it's likely it may take them a little longer to investigate your order due to the value, unless there's further complications (suchas a delivery signature) I can't see them being majorly difficult. (Although it's likely just delayed in transit because of the time of year. Last year RM was running nearly 3 weeks behind in my experience, although it was icy but there will still be backlogs in some areas).
as it stands though..
- you can cancel the order and receive a refund in no more than 30 days, whether received order or not
- after 30 days if you haven't received the order, you can consider the contract to have not been performed in the first place and again receive a full refund0 -
Have you received the 'your item has been dispatched' email yet? if you haven't then all you can really do is check your account to see the order status.0

I see three posts asking you what your amazon account/tracking states
I dont see an answer?0 -
How can we know where you stand when you haven't confirmed when and how was it dispatched (by courier, Royal Mail, etc) or even if it has been dispatched? What does the tracking information say? I would find it very hard to believe they would send an item of that value by any method which doesn't have appropriate tracking, so it's important to check the tracking and find out where it is.
You're definitely jumping the gun if you're writing posts asking where you stand before first logging into Amazon, seeing who you bought it from and whether and how they've sent it. That your previous orders came in three days does not make it the norm or the benchmark to apply here. Did you pay for quick delivery or the slower, cheaper options? This is everybody's fault but mine.0 -
so you're using them for emphasis?WHICH IS WHY I'M NOT POINTING THE FINGER & THEREFORE NOT JUMPING THE GUN.
* I hope you're not one of these who takes capital letters as "shouting". Capitals are capitals and shouting is shouting.

Check your account for the shipping tracking. I'm annoyed with Amazon right now as they've used Yodel for one of my parcels who have marked my parcel delivered but somehow did that within 1 minute of it leaving their depot 30+ miles away! They've also signed it as "HDNL" so its obvious what they've done@ run out of time and marked it delivered to stop Amazon telling them off for delivering it late.
Getting back to the point : What does your tracking say?0 -

Unless it was collected by Yodel DHL and then transferred over to HDNL to deliver. although they both come under Yodel, they still operate separately.0 -
