right go another letter from gpb solicitors today. LEGAL ACTION PENDING

Full payment must be recieved within 7 days otherwise a County Court Claim may be issued without futher warning. If a claim is issued the total amount will increase as follows:
    Current Balance £908.62
    Interest £0.00
    Court Fees £55.00
    Sols Costs£70.00
    Toatal Due £1,033.62
If judgement is awarded against you futher costs may be added.

You must contact us ........etc etc
We could get an attachment of earnings or bailiff.

Should I write back and say its in dispute as i've not have a signature proof of debt being taken by myself.

If is over 6yrs old and not been acknowledged before the 6 years cut off it cant be recovered in court (county or otherwise), do not contact them in any other way but in writing. The debit is over the limitation period and in dispute they can actively try to collect but that is it. This is a breach of OFT guidance, report them to OFT.

Would send a statute barred letter to them, there is a template of one below.

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

And you just ignore them, never speak to debt collectors over the phone, send the statute barred letter to them, if they took it to court they won't win ! Just keep a diary of contact with them, file all letters, if you do speak to them tell the debt is denied because its statute barred!

They can take you to court but you can defend it because the debts are statute barred. This will leave them picking up the tab for the court costs with nice eggy faces. If you can successfully defend this case brought against you then they should pick up the tab for your out of pocket expences too.

As has already been mentioned though, DWP can claw back any monies owed to them through with-holding or reducing benefits you may be claiming now or in the future. Its better that you take control and deal with it now otherwise you could find if you ever needed to apply for benefits they would take it then when you are probably more in need than now.

An excellent point, and something often missed when this subject is discussed.
