Has Tesco stopped selling value cocoa powder?

Just checked and the Sainsbury's drinking choc has gone from something like £1.79 to around £2.50 in a few months! So not as good value as before. Last time I bought it though the cocoa powder used in it was very high quality and strongly/richly flavoured so you wouldn't have to increase the amount used in the recipe by much at all IMHO, probably wouldn't need to increase it by anything at all if using cocoa alongside actual chocolate in the recipe xx0

Pah! Talking about drinking chocolate in a cocoa powder thread is about as silly as countencing "low-fat" cocoa powder.0

No it's not. The type of drinking chocolate made purely of cocoa powder and sugar as the Sainsbury's regular one is, makes a fine substitute for cocoa powder in baking and I'd presume that is what most people would want it for? Very few people drink cocoa these days and if they do want it for that unless they want cocoa with no sugar, the Sainsbury's one is good. Of course the value/basics/smart price drinking chocolate isn't the same consisting of whey powder, maltodextrin and other fillers, and possibly artificial sweeteners as well xx0
