Uggs Online Scam

  • Indeed but further on in wiki
Notable exceptions are Australia and New Zealand where the term is considered generic.[3][4] More than 70 registered trade marks in Australia and New Zealand include the term UGG, in various logos and designs.[5]

And also the origin of the style of boots goes way back to well before Deckers got their hands on the trademark so its easy enough to state that the term Ugg refers to a style of boot which has then morphed into the Ugg Australia Brand.

Uggs for £55, you are asking to be ripped off one way or another. Genuine Uggs cost in the region og £150-£195

I got mine in vegas, from the ugg store. Thery were $120 which then was £80. Shows how much more expensive they are here!!!

I got some for xmas last year, compared tham to my previous ones and they were exactly the same. they were £90 BUT i think they are fake, they havent lasted as long as the others did. Prime time to get ripped off at the min aint it x
The feeling i got when i confirmed my place studying criminology at Exeter Uni was brilliant!!!!!

I never bothered to look at the website as you never know whats sat in them with an address like that and from being posted by someone who says they may have been scammed.

The website hosts 51.la which engages in the distribution of malicious software.

So vakaviper may also have had his computer infected with nasties into the bargain.

I think if a store was based somewhere where the trademark was registered, and was aimed at customers where the trademark was registered, anyone ordering Uggs would expect the specific brand to which the trademark belonged.

  • I've been trying for days to get these ugg boots for my daughter, for her xmas. I've been on half a dozen websites (which sell them at around $100 to $120) but they all insist on payment by VISA only. Can anyone recommend a retailer that accepts Matercard or Paypal ?

A reputable site should have a number of payment options. The prices you quote seem rather cheap for genuine Ugg Australia boots. Are you happy to buy fake ones or do you believe you're getting the real deal?
