LloydsTSB PPI Payment

I have been waiting as some of you know since I put my claim in to Lloyds back in October 2010 (yes a whole 14 months and still I am waiting for payment, 15 weeks and still waiting)
My husband has a theory as both my mum and aunt put claims in and both have been paid in 3 weeks from offer letter in the past month. He says they work quickly on the new claims as it looks good on stats and in the press, but the very few that are still waiting since Aug/Sept will always look bad so why bother? I do tend to agree but it doesnt make me feel any better!:(
I have now given up phoning, emailing, trying the MP route nothing budges for me, I am trying to stay positive and will continue to check my account everyday as there is physically nothing more I can do. After a long phone call to them yesterday, I was told the usual no timescales blah blah blah, I was then told everything is happening as it should?!?!? I then laughed and said are you being funny? I asked what is the point of the call centre? He couldn't answer, I said if you've emailed the refunds department on numerous occasions and they haven't responded then what do you do? He answered I don't know! Great, do you have any suggestions for me then? No he said your payment is being processed in the right way! I think that says it all lol.0 -
Maybe if every1 emails watchdog then maybe some 1 might take note ..?!0

http://www.lloydsbankinggroup.com/about_us/directors/board_directors.asp - I went down the list and added @lloydsbanking.com or @lloydstsb.co.uk and @lloydstsb.com if it bounced, one of them always worked, and then I saved them in my contacts as 1,2,3,4...etc so I just had to forward the same email every day and it was really easy to do!0

www dot lloydsbankinggroup dot com/about us/directors/board directors.asp emailed them all 1stname dot 2ndname @ lloydsbanking dot com, if it bounces try lloydstsb dot com or lloydstsb dot co dot uk, could be any of the three!0

I have just had a nice surprise. I logged onto my on-line Lloyds account and at first was very disappointed as by balance hadn't changed, however, when I looked down the screen I noticed that my loan had dropped by several thousands of pounds. I was really taken aback.
I am glad they are now looking at my claim and fingers crossed, I will be receiving my refund within the next week - but I don't think I will hold my breath just in case.0 -
No payment for me today I am afraid. Working day 72 since offer letter0

No payment here either - was told last Monday that payment had been 'actioned' and was just waiting the BACS transfer time. Confirmed again on Wednesday and Thursday. No money Friday, no money Monday. Spoke to a manager on Monday who could not see any reason why I had not been paid and was going to get it sorted. Called yesterday, again everything set to go - but nothing happening and no answers to why the payment had not been made, or the fact I'd been told it had when it clearly hadn't.
Its 56 working days for me today, which I believe is Lloyds 'worst case' scenario that people would have to wait.
Absolutely outraged and after being a customer of Lloyds bank for 17 years this episode has left me feeling so utterly let down by an organisation I once had a reasonable level of respect for (however misguided) - how times change... I have NEVER had ANYONE mess me about over money owed to the extend that Lloyds have, I never expected this from of all things my bank.0 -
About 17K from Lloyds has appeared in my bank this morning.
PPI claim made in early August.
Offer letter received mid-November stating the 8% interest would be calculated up to 6th December.
I have just a bit more money to come (the 8% interest payment on a live loan) and then that's it with Lloyds claims for me.0 -

Your OH may have some legs to his theory. Since they are using grouped data to idenify a mean interval, clearing new cases makes sense from a management perspective. If they have suffiecient numbers in the 3-4week category they can say to the press since "date" the average is within the 28 day window. Who can force them to release data?0 -

The lady admitted the newer claims are hitting their target dates but august/sept/october are still under a large backlog. ill keep chasing them, doesnt cost me anything to call and ill speak to my branch manager see what he can pull but im still sure i wont see it before xmas.
From experience, a team leader will send an email....and nothing will happenIts 56 working days for me today, which I believe is Lloyds 'worst case' scenario that people would have to wait.
So what's my 70+? "Passed worst case, so we've given up"? :rotfl:(actually quite likely)Who can force them to release data?
I asked a few weeks ago (no-one answered) if a company like lloyds is subject to the FOI act? Or is it only public bodies. I'd love to FORCE to info out of them
