That's ridiculous, surely if you were overcharged you should get the cash back. Giving you £5 credit means you have to spend more on their website, and from what I know about their arrangements with those honouring the offers, it costs them hardly anything to give discounts/freebies. What a swizz!

I rang them earlier as they took the money out of my account - they would no refund me  - after them keeping me on hold for a 15mins they credited my account with £8.

    Hope this helps xx

Is the riverboat cruise one a new one???

    Yes, appeared today under "London"
River Red Rover Thames Cruise For One Child (£3) or Adult (£6) with City Cruises (56% Off)

Thanks for that , so there are 3 London ones still available for around a fiver ( the ice cream one , waffles with ice cream & a drink one & the river cruise one ) plus the letters from Santa available Nationally

IF you want to 'spend' your 50p remaining one letter from Santa would be £1.50

I already used my voucher (see above), so I'm going to be extra money saving and design one on the computer, print it, sign it, envelope it, add a stamp and post it to my son lol! :D

Not sure if it's still the case as I haven't tried it for a few years (showing my age :D) but every year I sent a letter to Santa from each of my children via Royal Mail. (ie: Just made up an address, Santa at North Pole etc & popped it in the Post Box.)

They always received a card from Santa addressed to them personally in return. Free of course. :D Maybe worth a shot?

(This service must have been going for quite a while....I remember my Dad always did it for me when I was a child.)

  • I had a horrible feeling they would give back the money as Groupon 'credit' rather than pay it back onto your card!!! Rotters!!! Its really NOT ON and feel the 'p' in Groupon definitely doesn't stand for 'principles'!

    The address to use is:
    Santa/Father Christmas,
    Santa’s Grotto,
    Reindeerland,
    SAN TA1

I do it with my nursery each year! You just need to put a stamp on your envelope and make sure you enclose the name and address of who you want the reply to be for. It's not personalised in that it's just a general letter but it's still special!
  • BTW to stop them charging you the free £5 use paypal :)

Haha, you're right. You do have to include your full address in the letter, & the child's full name, otherwise they won't know where to send it. The envelope comes addressed to the child, but again you're right, the Christmas Card is mass produced. Sorry, I didn't make it very clear.

Mind you, I can confirm, any old address to 'Santa' works. ;)
