    Evening all,

Very cold and damp here to-day...wearing a hat and thick pair of OH's socks to keep the heating off....fire is keeping living room nice and toasty, but cold in here.

Left over chicken dinner from yesterday for dinner to-day, nice and easy. 2 washes done and draped round the place, no point in hanging stuff out on line at present. Mixed stuff for Christmas pudding ( yes, I know its late, DS3 told me so!) and then discovered that I don't have any suet....OH would have gone for it, but trying to cut down on petrol as much as possible....budget on 7th will no doubt add more tax.

Happy birthday to Shelley and Mr Redruby.

Seems to be the weather for colds, OH has had one for a week or more and I might as well suggest he take poison as honey or such, which I think is wonderful to clear a cold.

Need to go shopping to-morrow as we have about an ounce of butter, need other stuff too so might as well get a bit....away from 23rd to 27th so will be a cheap food month I hope....not really comfortable about being away but that's just being a stick in the mud!

Beemuzed....hugs to you and your DS.

Lou...you sound so much better these days....little by little is best.

The dogs are driving me mad as they are not out much at present and spend a good portion of the day 'fighting' for their own amusement...I do not find it amusing when they start jumping from one couch to the other and knocking stuff down in the process!

Hester....hope that OH has good news about his job.

Hugs to all in need or want of one....stay safe and sleep well

Evening all! Boy have i had it with flipping PTA politics - now I can understand why people DON'T get involved...... never mind. Spent all morning rushing around - cat to vets (has had mini stroke and balance etc is off), picking up tshirts for PTA, cleaning alongside cleaner (helping to get me back on track and useful whilst house is for sale), taking neighbour to station and then from 2pm was at school getting ready for the christmas fair on Sunday. Teachers throwing their toys out of the pram and causing problems, but parents have been amazingly generous with things for the tombola and the bric a brac stall!

Then took the boys for a posh pizza (their treat for their good behaviour) and saw the towns christmas lights put on. Bit of an anti climax. Both boys are now asleep in MY bed! whilst I cough and splutter and watch news24! Hopefully throat will stop bleeding - nasty. OH ill, so didn't come home - grrrrr will sort out on my own again then! Love to all. xxxx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
