Afternoon all
Firstly sorry once again for not posting regularly - still reading every day though. Hugs to everyone who needs or just wants one!
Had a lovely time in Leeds centre yesterday at the mini meet with DG and Jayward - and a very nice Christmas lunch too!
Finally seem to have shaken off the worst of my cold but can't seem to get rid of the cough which is always worse when I lay down in bed. But as I don't sleep well anyway don't suppose it will make much difference lol
Christmas shopping nearly all done now, just a few bits to finish off, must get round to writing and sending the cards (especially those to family in America and Ireland, not sure when the last posting dates are this year will have to check.
OS today, have just done the normal rounds of cleaning and washing after I finished work, trying to use up stuff from the freezer like everyone else, so will have a look and see what delight will be for tonight. Got some gluten free stuff sausages etc yesterday but don't fancy it today and a lovely large cauli which I will turn into a cauliflower cheese (and might just freeze as it is far too much for just me)
Bought a very basic cross stitch yesterday also- which I am hoping if I can do it, I can frame for DD1's baby's nursery- good job I have plenty of time to do it in as I have never attempted one before - I'm fine on the straight bits but haven't worked out how to do curves as yet lol
Freezing here today and grey, quite a change from yesterday - no two days together seem to be the same lately
Have a nice afternoon and evening all - I am being taken out later so will need to think what will be nice and warm to wear but still look half decent lol

PS I agree Tru, I love JC, he's well known for his inappropriate comments so I would have thought people could either laugh it off or just ignore. He is like marmite, either love him or hate him :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Hi,
Feeling grotty again today and have spent the morning fairly chained to the loo, so my promised trip to Dunelm is deferred till next week.
Her reverence is out at a lunch so I enjoyed a quiet egg & cress sandwich. I think that if I lived on my own I would never bother to cook, I'm always more than satisfied with little snacky meals...so why do I not get thin?
However, madam called in to tescos this am and brought back a half price cauliflower which means cauliflower cheese will be on the menu pretty soon.
JulieG: Bitterne Park is where I hail from, my brother and I were born there and lived there until we left to go to college. Mum and Dad were also born there and stayed there until they died, Dad in June of this year. Where you? Just love hearing all your news about Roo. Both my boys were adopted so this pregnancy lark is fascinating to me. Keep it up.
Uolypool: So good to hear from you again and what great news of your DN. What a horrible time you have all had.
We'll all be rooting for you, Andrew and his Mum next Wednesday.
beemuzed: can we form a 'procrastinator's club.' You're way of putting things off seems strangely familiar to me. I can only work to a deadline and seem to live on the edge of chaos all the time. I long to be organised but even the Flylady has washed her hands of me.
I love you all but really must get on and do some work now. (Doesn't that sound good? Well I'll put the kettle on first.)I believe that friends are quiet angels

Evening all,
Just thought I would pop back in. All the boys are off out tonight to the dogs for their football Christmas do, about 12 of them so cue lots of drunken men returning later:cool:
My mate whose Dh is also going is coming down, they only live up the road and bringing wine for a good natter. Will probably have a takeaway and a proper girly night in our pj's:D
Will probably practice my presentation on her for the interview on Monday. Can feel the butterflies kicking in already. Don't think I will get much sleep this wkend
It's really cold here so will light the fire.
Have been trying to correspond with someone who bought a jacket on ebay, but she is polish so her messages are in polish. Have tried to translate but not very successfully. So typed her a message and translated it to polish and sent it off. I hope I haven't said anything rude:oStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

The funeral went smoothly and we all had a chuckle afterwards remembering Vera and some of the things she'd done or said:) she'd have been pleased with how it all went.

lou well done honey have a good evening with OH
DGD saw Rianna last night (it was tickets for her 18th in July that her Mum and Dad bought her) and she said it was awful She was 2 hours late on stage and appeared to be drunk and slurring the words all the time Like a good little lass she has emailed the venue to say how bad it was (maybe she may get tickets for something else who knows) But she did have a good day in London and managed to get a nice cover for her laptop.
Saw DD birthday girl tonight and gave her presents .She has had a good day if very busy at work but they all have treated her to lots of things and her OH bought her a Kindle which she is thrilled to bits with, and DGS Danny gave her Amazon vouchers so she can get her favourite author on there .
She read Mark Billinghams latest book from the library and was so impressed she emailed his web-site, and he took the trouble to reply which she was chuffed to bits about.
Boys were great and we all sang Happy Birthday to her.
This morning I made some HM Tomato soup & Coriander from some 'past their best ' toms and its delicious I have a big jug in the fridge for the week-end.
I have just had a big mug of leek & tattie to warm me up as its very chilly.Tonight the needles will be clacking again I have 7 squares left to knit. Fingers crossed I get it finished for Christmas.
Have a good evening every one and keep wrapped up as warm as you canits going to be a nippy one tonight.
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
I am sat in my car out to side the church waiting for the bus to leave to take DS2's Cub pack to the panto. Its freezing!
Jackieo thats a shame, my sister and my niece went to see her n Glasgow last week and thought it was fantastic. She's not my cup of tea, but if she had been in that state you would have heard my sister moaning all the way down there :rotfl:
Hugs all round, especially beemuzzed, I think of you and your family every day. xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window
