I do it all because I'm scared.
  • Can I join this challenge please, I'm thinking of saving all my weekly leftovers from the grocery budget into the pot towards Xmas food and goodies for 2012, I would like to aim for £150 so will need to shave about £3 off each weeks shopping to achieve this. I'm sure I can do this:)

I have to nip into town this week so will splurge on one of those £1 pot things to put it all in. I know I will be less inclined to break it open than a homemade jar with tape etc round it.

Evening all ... 2p roadkill in the pot. Found it abandoned, lonely and wet in the street on the way home.

Tomorrow, i intend to collect 5p i spied loitering with intent near a fire extingisher at work....that's if the overnight cleaner doesn't spot it 1st :D.

A very warm welcome, Raspberrysauce, it's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Enjoy yourself saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

To trim your grocery bill, Raspberrysauce, go to the main "Forum" at the top right then go down through the "index" and look for "Moneysaving old style" where you'll soon learn how to make nourishing meals for very little money and knock £s off your budget.

Glad you're starting on the road to recovery, jakes-mum, best put off the trim rather than put yourself at risk of being even more uncomfortable. Hope the antibiotics work for you.

Another member declaring his last year's Total brings last year's Grand Total to £40.386.15!!!

    That's sooo good, redbull!!! ;)

I'll bet you'll be glad to have a good night's sleep, LC 2, take care and enjoy your little GS. :)

Excellent saving everyone! You're all doing marvellously. For those not able to save much at the moment, it's hardly surprising but keep looking ahead to times when you can, they'll come. :grinheart

I'm off for a good night too, sleep well all.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone
Sue good job you're on top of it hun, I didn't even check to see if anyone had declared any more totals. I must admit I'm looking forward to having time off to re-charge the batteries ready for another onslaught of O/T.

LC2 got to keep doing the O/T because I can see a larger light at the end of the tunnel, a few more weeks and all the cards are paid off and I'll be working for DH & I and not working to pay someone else. Valuable lesson learnt, stay away from credit cards!

Jakes-mum hope the anti biotics kick in hun and get you sorted out, it sounds like you're in a lot of discomfort ((HUGS))

Welcome to our newest members, enjoy the excitement when we get near to pot opening time, it's like Christmas for grown-up's.

My usual £2 potted last night plus a lot of silver coins, also 4 X £2 coins & 5 X 50p's for the New York & Chicago 2013 spending fund. I also found £1 tea room floor change in work yesterday, so thats gone into the road change pot.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe and keep saving
