    Morning all!!! :santa2:

Just have a question for everyone (as I find the people in the thread very helpful!) :)

I was just doing a survey for Consumer intelligence that had a reward of £6 PLUS a prize draw of a further 100 £6 prizes. So I filled everything out... only took 5 mins. Asked for my nectar and tesco card details (thought that was ok)... and info about my car etc... then on the last page it says...

''You and your car Many thanks for answering these questions.

In clicking the Submit button below, you are agreeing that Consumer Intelligence can use the details provided within this survey to obtain insurance quotations from third party companies for research purposes. As part of the quotation process, your details may be credit checked.''

I have highlighted the red bit as the worrying part. Credit checked??????????? I have not completed the survey as really worried about that! What do you all think????:cool::cool::cool:

    Hi izzoh,

I've got to admit it I'm very wary of filling in surveys etc on line so I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole in the first place - but that's just me :rotfl:and I know a lot of people willing give info in exchange for a payment of some sort, which is fine if people are fully aware of exactly the depth of info they are giving.

I think basically the site you have visited is looking at your buying habits, which is why they've asked for your Tesco and Nectar card details (as both these companies offer insurance services), these cards will also confirm your address details and how long you've lived at your address (a requirement for checking your suitability for insurance). If you'd continued with the survey my guess is that you would probably have had loads of insurance quotes coming through, and that the credit checking would have taken place if you had decided to accept a quote. I'm not sure whether they would credit check you for suitability beforehand.

In my opinion you did the right thing by not continuing with the survey if it took you out of comfort zone. :)

And just to keep this thread on topic ;), I haven't put any money into my pot this weekend so I'll just say a big Hi to everybody.

Hope you're all keeping safe and warm, and not skidding about too much on the ice you've all woken up to this morning.

    Hi all,

Cleaned out my desk drawer today and found an assortment of foreign coins and five pre-decimal threepenny bits and a sixpence! Plus 7p in real money for the pot so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

    evening pottersssssssss

Well been to mums and sat mute and listened to all the gossip from mum and biggest sister :) Then mum brought me and the kids home and took us to Waitrose enroute for some bread and cereal for DS. Went to the till and did my cursory floor sweep with my eyes. Spotted something shiny underneath the end of the till next to us but a couple were paying there  nudged DS and he, bold as brass walked up between them stuck his foot under the end of the till and swept it out behind him before grinning at the couple turning round and picking it up :rotfl: :rotfl:

It was 20p and He did hand it over to me bless him and its now safely in my pot :o Def keeping him with me when I go shopping from now on :rotfl:

They have both gone back to mums tonight though as im really not feeling good and cant deal with the 'mummy play hide and seek with me!, Mummy I cant hear you! speak up!!' But WHY cant you talk?' over and over again

    Morning Potterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs

Well I still cant talk and now the gum and side of my mouth has swollen up as well so I dont have a clue whats going on in there, but I dont think its tonsilitis anymore :(

No pennies at the moment and not sure there will be any today as we are off to my mums for lunch as my sister is coming up today for the present swap, plus im really not up to wandering round the shops anyway :(

Wrap up warm those of you venturing out, its a cold one today

When this happened to me some years ago it turned out to be a blocked salivary gland. It happened a few times, prescription charges were OTT then I took a simple ibuprofen tablet. Worked a treat. Swelling disappeared and pain went too. If you can take these, try it. I hope it works for you.

    Hugs!
