You're most welcome to join us, nows the time! It's lovely to have you with us.
Have fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
Please pop your number on your sig, it helps a lot.
nows the time, to put your No on, there's jakes-mum's way to do so or you can go to "User CP" also on the green bar up the top, then click on "Edit Signature". Just be sure to save afterwards! BTW, just because we put on here how much we save doesn't mean we remember it or want to, it simply encourages others.
Come on folks! Just 1 welcome aboard from LC 2?? Wouldn't you all like to be welcomed on at least a little bit more....just a few warm words makes all the difference to the recipient. :grinheart
Not to worry, Thriftkitten, do your best..that's plenty good enough.black_cat wrote:How do you all decide what to put in your pots?
Hiya ruby_eskimo! :hello: Good to see you dropping in - saving so well too!
I just put all I have after the shopping's done, black cat, but if anything else is pottable at the end of the week it goes in too. Basically, save as much as you're able, if you're unsure then put things in another pot until you know whether it's needed for spends or not, if it isn't, pot it.
Good to see more of you these days, elizabunny!little_sweetie wrote:What would they do without us Sue-UU ......" And I only went in for a stamp!" (arms folded under bosoms) :rotfl:
You've got it off pat, little_sweetie, I used to love those sketches - utter brilliance!
Have a good day, LC 2!
Well done with your 2 golden nuggets, b_e_g! Such beautiful coins.Enjoy the day folks, if you can save do so, if not look ahead to when you can.Sue x

Happy Monday Everyone
Welcome to the new newbies
I haven't been on in quite a few days as I'm back at work now so no time to myself. Potted £2.05 on Friday and an amazing :j:j:j£1 roadkill :j:j:j
black cat I have a weekly budget which I withdraw in cash every weekend. Any coins left over the following Friday get potted and any notes (haha) I keep for the next week and transfer the value into my savings online. It works for meSome people seem to pot all change, some only pot certain coins and some pot only when they can spare a few pence. It might take a little while to decide what's right for you but we are always here to encourage and congratulate whatever the amount
:):)
I was so tired after my first week back at work I felt sick on friday evening and I've been pretty down in the dumps all weekend. Oh well onwards and upwards

Hi potters
Just had a lovely weekend in Margate, no roadkillbut lovely sandy beach and sunshine and waves to paddle in :T who could ask for more? Managed to pot a couple of lovely pounds on my return - would have been more but bus ticket machine swallowed my £2 coin and denied all knowledge so I had to feed it with some more
Welcome to all the newbies, have fun potting. I reckon this is the best thread on the forums, everyone's upbeat and positive and friendly :T

A HUGE step in the right direction, jakes-mum, though if I didn't know you better I'd believe you were having a pop at me.Come to think of it...I don't know you better!
:p
Anyway, here's a star for you for being so..so..so..see now I'm just so choked with emotion. :staradmin
So, without going OTT as some would , it's good to see folk making the effort already. Many thanks, one and all. :jSorry to hear you're feeling so tired and down in the dumps, Janey, maybe it's still the effects of the op and anaesthetic that are pulling you down. Still try to get more sleep, a few walks too maybe. I hope you're soon feeling much better. :kisses3:
It's so good to hear you really enjoyed the break, Rosy! Course, you could always get a metal detector for next time!
Wowee Delilah, excellent saving whilst being away too. Hope you enjoyed yourself.Sue x

Hi all! and WELCOME NEWBIES!
Hi blackcat..you can save however you want, of course, but I draw a fixed food budget on Monday or Tuesday plus £20 personal spending. I rarely have a lot left but if I can save even a few pence on the food shopping I pot it at the weekend :A Any personal spending left also gets potted the day before my next allocationThis forum is brilliant because it helps to keep you focussed on watching the pennies. I report what I've managed to pot but don't keep a running total so that I will have a pleasant surprise in November when we all open our pots! Good luck!
Sue-uu weren't those sketches brilliant. We must have a similar sense of humour :rotfl:Is that a good thing?
Food shopping tomorrow so I want to try being even more frugal than usual. Mental note: start a shopping list and meal planner as soon as I've finished on here :A

Hi to all our new fellow inmates, ahem, sealed potters. Welcome aboard. You'll all enjoy reading and posting on this thread. And Saving, of course. It gets to be very addictive, in more ways than one. :rotfl:
Just a lonely 2p coin today from walking the first dog. I go different ways round with each dog but someone must beat me to the roadkill.
