  • 28p in the pot (I think that's the same amount as yesterday)!

How do you all decide what to put in your pots?
I have some £1 coins and 20Ps in my purse but I'm keeping them there in case I need them during the week - instead of withdrawing money from the bank.Although I'm tempted...

  • Hello, can i join - hope it is not too late?

I have read many threads on MSE from the sidelines totally inspired by all the great savers and feel that it is time that i played a more active role.

I have a pot (not sealed, but will be soon) that already has a few coins in that i will use to start me off.

I am not sure that i will post each time i place money in the pot - is that OK? I would prefer to place it in and wait for the surprise at the end of the year.

I will work out how to do my signature (as i said i am a newbie).

I have a budget for the year and within that is a weekly allowance for lunch stuff. I empty out my purse every Friday and that goes into the sealed pot, I then give myself the next weeks allowance and the process starts over again. Some weeks are more successful than others, for example: last week I potted £4.29, this week £1.90.
