  • Evening all

Haven't potted for a while, no spare pennies.

Was planning to pot a couple of pounds today after paying my MOT and service, however cash machine was out of order so had to pay by card = no change.

I am planning to pot whats left of my weekly money on Sat, so if i can muddle through tomorrow without going to the shops then should have at least £5 to pot. :j

Well done to those of you that are still potting. Can't believe i've been back with this challenge for a couple of months now. And still going. I so can't wait until November. :D

Glad you are feeling a bit better ljaneyr. Like the positive thoughts about the hospital parking. :D

    Enjoy the evening everyone.

  • ljaneyr, glad the op went ok. How very MSE of you even in a stressed state managed to save on the parking.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Sue,
glad your toe is feeling a little better. Keep that foot up and let OH do the running around.;)

Not potted for a few days so £6 in the pot tonight.Been to Bo*ts tonight to get DD1 some nail varnish that she had seen for her birthday. An offer on 3 for 2 so bought some foundation that she has been meithering for for ages and the nail varnish and got the pressed powder for free. Also she wanted some concealer so used my points to get that for free. Very MSE of me, am feeling very proud of myself:rotfl:. When I go to the bank will get the difference in cash to pot. Paid on my card so couldn't pot tonight.

    Evening all!

Honestly, I miss a few days and I've got 10 pages to catch up on! Had my op on Monday and it went really well. I was really sick afterwards and in a lot of pain on Tuesday but feeling better now. We had a bit of a shock when we got to the hospital because my OH couldn't wait with me - had a few tears - then realised I would save a few pounds in parking money! Have just got it out of the car and am potting £4 :D

Will have more to pot tomorrow when I clear the change out of my purse as I'm not going to be going anywhere to spend it!

Anyway, off to start reading all those posts!

I'm so glad things went well for you. At least it's all over now <<hug>> You just need to rest and recover.

I was all excited in mr T's earlier when I spotted a silver coin on the floor by the self service checkout...my first shopkill? :j When I got outside I found it to be a United Arab Emirates coin so it doesn't count :( Oh well, still looking and counting the days to payday.....

Ooh! Forgot to mention earlier - I found my first roadkill of the year at the weekend! Well it was actually self-service-checkout-kill of 1p in Mr Ts (Are we not allowed to write the name of the shop?).

Unfortunately on the same day we were late back to the car and got an £80 parking ticket :mad::mad:. Luckily I checked on this site and it turns out it's from a private parking company and they have no right to get money out of you (thanks for more great advice :money:), on top of that I wasn't driving so now just have to ignore all the letters and threats of court action etc. I still feel a little bit nervous about it though, has anyone on here got any experience of it? The people on the parking ticket board are a bit scary but you lot aren't :D
