Ok, so this is my first day on this challenge and I found £0.02 roadkill (love that term) and 18p in the car in change. SO 20p for me today. I have no idea where I'm going to put this 'pot' as my hubby has a habit of finding cash around the hand and spending it!!! But will fnd somewhere, maybe in an old makup/cleanser tub of some kind!!! I'm thinking of using the cash I save to pay off some more of my debts at the end of the year or alternatively for xmas 2012, I don't spend a lot for xmas anyway so I'm thinking that if I can save enough I will be able to pay for xmas without feeling it. if that makes sense? SHall I give myself a target I wonder? Maybe ...£150!?!?! £2.88 a week...I can manage that surely. x

  • Hello everyone,

I'm a newbe to the forum, although I have been a 'lurker' for a while. I like this idea very much. It occured to me the other day that I when we buy 'offers' in the supermarket (BOGOFF, money off etc etc) we don't actually 'save' the money it fets allocated elsewhere. I am going to use my pot for this purpose as well as additional change.

    Another exciting challenge!!!:j

  • Sorry about that Sue :A. But it was a very interesting programme on how life recycles itself. Could have done with less close-ups on maggot infested pigs and decomposing rats imho... but very interesting all the same :D.

Just polished off a plate of sushi. I'm not adventourous food-wise and hadn't eaten it before.... but i must say it was delishhh!!!! Plus it was very MSE as it was in the reduced food section and i got my Boots points too :T. Oh yeah, i know how to live :rotfl:.

Well, no potting for me today, but well done guys for making every saved penny count :T.

    Until next time...

  • Please can I play!? I love this idea ... it will be useful to actually have something to do with those spare coins rather than just have them festering in suspect places around the house gathering dust. Plus, I'll now have a reason to pick up 'roadkill' despite the sighs and rolling of eyes from my Blokey.

    :D
Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt. So it goes.

Hi Sessie - I'm liking your idea of £1 a day... I thought I might manage 2 x £1 coins per week but might have to up the ante!
Hoping to retire earlier than 67!
