    Hi
I'm a newbie on MSE! I was looking at this and thought it sounded interesting, could I save £30 towards a kindle case (getting a kindle for my birthday) by March? Or is that too little amount/too little time?

Happy shopping, jakes-mum, I reckon you've got a Mum in a million there.

Ah SUe-UU she really is, we trundled off to blue water and she treated me to lunch, I bought 2 pairs of jeans, 2 tops and a bra that actually fits for the princely sum of £58, I then see the coat of dreams  its THE coat . . but I do not have enough money for it :( even though its reduced to £45 from £90 :( in steps my mum in a million 'I'll buy it for you and we'll call it your birthday present (my birthdays in may :rotfl:) so I also have a beautiful deep purple coat for nothing :) Love my mum, shes so fab x x and then to top it all off she treats me to dinner on the way home :o

:rotfl: Oh dear Elle, that was a sin for an SPCer, but it really did make me giggle at the 'sight'. If it had been jakes-mum she'd have insisted they move it or reimburse her some other way. :rotfl: Haven't you got a magnet? ;)
I'd have been on me blinking hands and knees with me till reciept trying to swipe it back out from underneath    And if I hadnt managed to get it there would ahve been a stern complaint letter being sent regarding their purposeful entrapment of peoples change by having their tills raised off the ground and demands of compensation for my pain and suffering due to my loss :rotfl:

Well after my fab shopping trip ive popped 2p that seems to have hidden itself in the pocket of my bag that I found during the 45 minute wait for my mum to be fitted in the bra shop  :rotfl: and £2 in my baby terramundi, change from my christmas money spends :D

Still potting - but slowly, anything under a £1 coin goes in. The hens have started to lay again so I should be able to get some change at the gate where I put the surplus eggs.

  • Welcome to all our newbies

Shush don't tell Mr. T but I found £1 roadkill in his car park on Thurs night :j Now its nestled with its friends in my pot.

Went on shopping trip yesterday with DH to large out of town place, queued for ages to get into car and then to find a space . Trudged around for ages, discovered a couple of coats one reduced to £99 and the other was a measly 'reduced to £200' they looked lovely when I tried them on too. But I did not give into temptation as I didn't need either but one of them would have been very nice but I was a good girl and left them both on the rail.

Treated DH to his tea at Pizza Hut (teatime spec for £6). Visited the blue and yellow swedish place on way home and the total for our whole day shopping trip amounted to shaving mirror (no it wasnt for me nu1isit) some serviettes (we usually use the sort on roll :p) and holder and a bottle of fruit juice for DS.

    Best wishes everyone for 2012

£3.82 potted yesterday. This was the change left over from my spending money after buying, among other things, a 4000 piece jigsaw:eek: that should keep me busy for a while. :D
