First day in our new house saw us get lumbered with a £400 locksmith charge after DH's dad broke the lock to the front door (unintentionally!) which is not very :money: lol!Sealed Pot Challenge (1031) 2012 = 148.17

Managed to get a few small ones in to my work tin this evening, and some random forrin coins. At some point I need to empty out that tin to see what I've accumulated and try to get it changed back to english coinage. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

oooh heck, Oops, you're welcome getting amongst that lot tomorrow, you're right too....it'll be horrendous without a doubt.! I shan't be there! :j Re the £2 coins..we must have made a huge difference as there here, there and everywhere..so beautiful though.
Oh your DH sounds so much like mine, LC 2, mine is exceptionally punctual..or an hour early! He's an absolute treasure, but will never understand me..though he reckons he reads me like a book..I just make sure I keep a chapter ahead!! :rotfl:
Keep potting anything under 50p, zafiro and even that will notch you up a sum by next November. I know what you mean about cards though, a help and - a curse!
Go on, Observer, have another look and lets see what you come up with. You know you can bleed more out.
Well done, gemmack, it's good to see members getting right into saving 'proper'! Checking his wallet keeps it from fraying...and bulging!
Hellooo, WER!!!! :hello: It's really lovely to see you at this time of year, I'm so pleased you dropped in. Oh you just have to save those £2s..they're too beautiful to let others have!! Have a lovely Christmas and a safe, healthy New Year and please pass on my wishes for the same for your Kas; it was marvellous to see her back again. Take care WER, Kas also.
ooh even more eh, DorsetGirl.!! :jblue_eyed_girl wrote:Hey I can't wait to see it - I can remember Mr. Tumble
Yeah, so can I, b_e_g, I'm still having recurring nightmares of him, LC 2 'n all poor soul though she had a strong fixation first, but now just giggles at him, his owner too..though who wouldn't?!! :rotfl:
I do hope Footie returns, I just wish she'd answer the PM, even if she's had to spend her savings, she knows we'll forgive her. Well done on the vouchers, ~ and ~ turning the silver threads to gold..well, all right mahogany then, very MSE whatever. :money:
Hi Kitty! NSDs are good for us all, I have them 6 days a week! It's really lovely to hear the excitement in you at the prospects of being debt-free by the end of next year, heres to those skis!
Good for you with the £5er, peaceandfreedom, how about putting the £2s by the side of your pot then if you haven't needed them this time next week, pop them in it. Safest bet perhaps.
I really hope the tests will be in your favour supasick, wel done with the cash. Have a good night's sleep.Sazdaz wrote:About £3 tonight, wooo hoooooo loving the new attitude to money.
Marvellous news, Sazdaz, and well done on your great outlook, words like yours are a joy to read. :grinheart
Oh Jackies, what some bad luck, I'll bet your D-I-L felt terrible. Good to hear you're settling in though. All the best in your new home.
Hi scuba, you'd just as well get them changed..less house room!Have a lovely Friday folks - and good luck shoppers, I fear you'll need it.
