A field with a story

Our home in North Wales, which were are currently trying to sell, comes with a field, which has a story attached. In 1997, only a few weeks after we moved into the property, the field attracted media attention when it was claimed visions of the Virgin Mary were seen there, and subsequent healings attributed to the field. For a while it was like a mini Lourdes. From time to time we still hear people claiming they have benefitted by visiting our field.
However, my husband and I are not religious and feel it wrong to capitalise on the field's 'fame' in order to sell the property. I am not sure how much of a selling point it would be anyway.
What do others think?

I'd mention it in the details - and am not religious either.
Would hardly put it as a bullet point on the front or anything, but, when mentioning the field, I'd add a line saying 'with its claim to fame as the site where the... blah blah'.
Don't see how it can harm... People love a bit of history, or a story to tell their friends about.

You've told us, someone has found the rightmove link. The cat is back out of the bag. It does not matter what people think any more.... What do others think?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Because everyone who views the property will find it via this thread? This OP is asking whether to advise the fact (presumably on Rightmove etc) or not and what others think.
IMO if you don't want to use it as a selling point, don't. I personally would see it as a downside, I don't want strangers trekking over to my land (obviously if there's a public footpath I can't stop them, but I wouldn't encourage them). But might be worth having it there as a warning to those who respect their privacy too.0 -
50/50.
Could be a sales point to some but others may worry that the field may be as bad as a public right of way or campsite.
I'd probably not mention it but the choice is yours.0 -
it'd worry me. we're a non christian family and the idea of the potential for a coachload of people turning up to try and be healed by my field would freak me out a lot.0

Same. I'd keep quiet about it and hope no potential buyers find this thread.
If someone asked outright, I'd be honest though.0 -
Most people I imagine do sensible amounts of research before parting with their cash:
speaking to neighbours,
looking on the internet for stories
looking up crime rates etc
The story is very widely out there so someone is bound to mention it.
I don't imagine it would put many people off.0
