A field with a story

Obviously if people ask about our field we would be honest about its story, but wouldn't talk it up as we aren't believers. Fortunately we only get the occasional 'pilgrim' these days.:)

it'd worry me. we're a non christian family and the idea of the potential for a coachload of people turning up to try and be healed by my field would freak me out a lot.

I'd keep quiet about it, but if a coach load of people turned up I'd be out there selling coffee and hot dogs:D
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

As you can imagine over the years we have had a lot of encouragement to make money out of the 'pilgrims', but would NEVER do so, believing that to be wrong. If people gain some benefit from standing at the field gate and meditating they are welcome, but would have to go to Lourdes in France if they want to be sold tat!

A number of people have asked if they can buy the field, always of course to run livestock on it! I suppose they reckon if they were upfront and said it was because they wished to make money out of the 'pilgrims', the price would go up! The field goes with the house and is not a separate lot.

An entrepreneur could see it as a viable business venture whereas for you this would both increase the chances of selling it and at a higher price. Such religious places in Catholic dominated Countries like Italy, Span and Mexico can and do become visitor attractions in their own right.

I may be inclined to include it in the selling blurb, I would definitely mention it to interested viewers..

you will need god to appear if you want to sell it at that price...its way overpriced for the area..and i am not too far away but over the border..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Think I would be nipping to China for some flashing Mary's Like these ones

I once went to Lourdes on a school trip - it was a real eye opener!
Some brilliant tacky gifts, a bit like a catholic blackpool.

Above the middle of the pic (over house), you can make out a dog's face - two little eyes and a little button nose, and ears, head slightly tilted...

Or maybe that's just me. Did see a pantomime camel in Reception today lol...
