  • Not an nsd for me today. I may possibly sneak one in tomorrow as OH is paying for the groceries (as he didn't give me any money as promised for Christmas).
    What cheer eh?

  • Hi all NSD 14 yesterday. Me and OH had a treat yesterday we went to thr cinema first time we have been for about a year and a half so it was a treat that was well deserved. Still trying to get back on track with meal planning and tidying etc., Should reach my target for the month which is brilliant as it was looking very ropey at the beginning of the month. So much i would like to do in 2012 would love to lose weight but lack the motivation and unfortunately the will power.

Well, there was Christmas, done and gone. Probably one of the nicest I have had for years as we celebrated with all those people who matter, and have just waved goodbye to the last batch of visitors. No stress, no rows, just a relaxed Christmas Day and a chilled out New Years Eve tomorrow, just pottering around. I'm at work New Years Day so no alcohol for me, but I will stay up just to see in 2012 before crashing out.

My NSD total is a pathetic 8 which might become 9 tomorrow if I behave myself. Oh well, there is always next month.

Now off to attack the remains of the Quality Street before the healthy diet regime starts on January 1st.

Had a lovely coffee & chat with Fresian :) - great to be able to put a face to a name IYKWIM .... and there was a *sigh* from both of us as we both got 4 x £2 coins back in our change - my "normal" friends just wouldn't get that!;)

Still .... the Shed fund will be well fed today!:T

Jinty, we're def up for an "Edinburgh NSD Club" coffee in the New Year - maybe after payday in Jan as it's a loooooooong way away yet..... and anyone else nearby - you're more than welcome:)

Pretty wiped out now (why does Lurgi do that!) so heading off for a snooze......

How great that you two met up - how did you recognise each other?! Did you both have a :money:badge on!:rotfl:
Anyhoo, lets get something sorted and yes, after Jan payday would be good for me too. Beanie - you are more than welcome, we will need to pick a suitable rendezvous point!
Ooh, what a laugh that'll be...........like a blind date without the worry! :) PM's to follow in the New Year.

I cannot report another NSD today, but it's been bargainalicious. Had a mooch in the charity shops at lunchtme and got a brand new hoody in the BHF shop for £4 plus a new M&s sparkly scarf for £3. I also spotted a lovely wooden dish (£2) with a bird on it that I will give to a good pal of mine who loves all things feathered. So change out of a tenner - cant be bad!:)

Then I went to the madhouse that is A%da tonight. Honestly you'd think the shops were never going to open again. The f&v shelves were bare! Anyhoo I got what I needed and after using the remains of my savings card and some vouchers I ended up getting a £39 bill down to £13. Love it!

Tomorrow MAY be a NSD - I am off to Mr Lucas for some of that frozen yogurt ( 2 propoints per scoop, Fresian, if you're interested) and ice cream for NY day dinner. Yummy! I will try to get OH to swing for that one!

We are not going out tomorrow night - OH is feeling it a bit, as Hogmanay and New Year's Day was always a big deal for his family, and we always went to his M&D's for a meal and knees-up. This is the first year without them and it's very weird. Trying to keep his spirits up, and just go with the flow.

Have a lovely evening - see you all tomorrow!:)

you will always be rich enough to be generous.

    Wow made it

    NSD no. 8

Have just had notice of an interview at the end of January so have had to book my hotel room (200 miles away and 9am interview!) in order to get it in the Travelodge sale but expect the Job Centre to pick up the tab for that, and if they won't I shall ask the interviewer.

So I am expecting to get it back in the longer term.

*shuffles in with head hung in shame, which seems to be a permanent pose this month* :o

Well it was nearly a NSD but popped out to Mr W to collect an item I'd ordered and while I was there found some frozen meals reduced down from £3 each to 99p each, so picked up 6  and also a loaf for 50p as i used my last free part bake Hovis today (and fancied boiled egg for dinner), so £18.50 shop for £6.50 :D Then popped back to get to Sacla risotto sauces before the coupon expires tomorrow, £1 off each still made the total £3 but better than £5.

Hopped into Mr S for a pizza for OH, found some on half price offer, nachos on BOGOF and a bottle of smoothie for OH. Also found some shave gel on a 1/2 price offer plus I had a £1 coupon, so got the can for 74p instead of about £3.50  Had a 23p brand match coupon (wombled naturally) and found another for 11p in the bin next to the self scan...since there were no staff nearby i thought it rude not to fish it out and use it :o:rotfl:so counting offers and coupons it was a £15-odd shop for about £7 :D

Was going to take the £ from our grocery budget but since that got hit with the xmas dinner this month i thought I should keep the remainder for more planned 'regular' shopping for the rest of the month.

No NSD for me yesterday :( I did my weekly shop instead of going for it today. It was an attempt to avoid the manic supermarket on New Year's Eve but it was just as horrendous - are the shops going to be shut forever??? There was one couple who had an overloaded trolley EACH
I just don't get it - my local $par is open tomorrow for a couple of hours. Ohh well, each to their own, I suppose :)

As I positively detest New Year (which is a bit strange being Scottish) I am now going into hibernation for three days which should mean I will rack up some lovely NSDs and give me a head start for January :)

See you all next year (well, someone had to say it :))

Me too Free ..... I'm hoping to even achieve one on the 1st - which never happens for me as it's usually the day I move money around to my direct debit account (already done as we were paid early).
