The "Cripes, Christmas is almost here" December NSD thread

Well, I was planning a nsd today but unfortunately didn't manage it in the end.
I had to post ebay parcels, which I don't count as a spend as they're paid by buyer, but while I was there I bought stamps for my Christmas cards (£4.32!). Plus £1.25 on houmous, and £2 on raffle tickets.
On the plus side, I got a tax rebate cheque for almost £70 and have made £19 on ebay as well.
No nsd tomorrow as work night out - but Saturday could be - OH turn to pay for shopping.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Apart from a 6 mile run I've not been out of the house today, so thought I'd have clocked up another NSD..... but I'd forgotten the date, which means it's a D/Debit day. Thwarted !!!!
And tomorrow will almost certainly be a spend day (need to order a Christmas pressie on-line, so will probably do that as I'm also hopeful of picking up another I need now I have an idea), as - I suspect - will be Saturday (running club Christmas do, though I have a feeling I'm going to have to fight someone for the right to pay for some of our drinks - I just hope he's learned it's easier to give in gracefully).
Need to go to Mr T to change a dress I bought yesterday. Picked up the size I'm just about down to in most designs, but as it's a tight ribbed knit one I decided I'd need the size up and swapped it before paying. Went to put it on this afternoon and it's too big - so I need to hope they've still got the smaller size left!! I assume I can change it in a different store (so may try in the one by the gym), but need to go back up to the complex I was at yesterday to pick up a couple more pressies now I've been given ideas for my parents so that gives me a second one to try - and I want to try and get all my known forthcoming spends over and done with in one day.
I don't think I've got another D/Debit due out until 22nd, so need to try and make sure I pick up any essentials over the next couple of days which then potentially gives me another 4 NSDs before that.....Cheryl0 -
Well yesterday turned out to be NSD#6, but means I had to buy petrol today. If I ever manage to get out of work tonight I will try to shop so I don't need to tomorrow.:pDFW Nerd 1394.

4 NSDs now in the bag!
A mini-spendette due tomorrow, but Saturday might be another NSD, and if not then Sunday definitely will be as I am back at work that day after 3 weeks off - and I will not have time to take the moths for a walk then!
Might just sneak in on target this month. I think. But you know what thought did? Followed a muck cart, thought it were a wedding (according to my late mother).
Still, must not be pessimistic, as the festive season approaches and thoughts turn to parties and celebrations. Igor is busy brewing up a new batch of reindeer punch, (leave the antlers out this time, Igor, they don't half give you a headache..) and Chateau Nargle is draped with lights and tinsel. Temperature is close to zero outside, and we all eagerly anticipate the first flurries of snow.....all of us, that is, except the chickens who keep having straw fights and end up chucking their bedding out of the box and having to sleep on cold hard plastic. And the cat, who, when it's snowy, goes to the loo with his legs crossed....
Keep up the good work with those NSDs!One life - your life - live it!0 -
