Well it's been freezing here too in the land of Nargle, but no snow yet thank goodness.

Wannabehermit - thanks for info re O2. If I do decide to swap over, I will be on a Pay Go tariff, no contracts for me thank you very much! And I am quite happy with the phone I have, just want it to send and receive texts and make and receive calls, basically! Although I can store photos on it, which is nice, should I want to see my puddy tat's smiling face when I am out and about. Can't be doing with one of these fancy bits of kit that you surf the net with (screen and buttons way too small for my liking), play games on (no time for that nonsense) or order takeaway pizzas with etc etc. When did a phone stop being just a phone and become some kind of complex gadget that only technogeeks can fathom out?

(Gets off soapbox and takes another shot of caffeine-free coffee)

Nargle - how sweet of DS, you've clearly raised him well. Great that you found your phone though, it's not so much the handset but the numbers in it. OH phone has gone in for repair, SA told him all his numbers were on his SIM when he was given a standby phone, turns out they weren't so now he's lost all his numbers.

lotti379 - tough one about the stamps, I'd be tempted to keep quiet but then some poor sods till prob doesn't balance now so might be worth going back - hopefully they will repay you for your honesty by saying you can keep them anyway

Well not really a NSD for me but have nearly finished Xmas shopping. Annual trip with OH, managed to pick up a few bits, and some pj bums for me (didn't have the top in my size though so hoping they'll get more in - bottoms were the last pair in my size out of 2 pairs left so grabbed them anyway) Only folks really left now is DM and OH - but he'd reached his 1hr time limit by the time we got round to thinking about his prezzie :rotfl: Xmas turkey also ordered with some of the trimmings so that's another tick off the list. Decs not quite up yet nor cards written but feeling a bit more festive :D

Back to work tomorrow then theatre in the big smoke on Wed with DM. We're going to the matinee perdformance so can head to Oxford Street after and see the lights (if I don't lose me rag with all the people there :o) Looking forward to it and hopefully will put my in a right festive mood. Who's up for an xmas outing btw? Nargle is Igor doing eggnog again?

Butti - BDINI will put you down on the front page for 8 next time she is here :)

It didn't end up being an NSD for me as I had to go to my daughters xmas play and was forced (:D) to purchase some mulled wine (for medicinal purposes obviously) and a mince pie (for comfort ;))

Sorry no individual comments today....I really need my bed as I am feeling really rubbish x

  • *ahhhhhhhhhhhh, she left as she'd just about bankrupted herself living there with all the wonderful shops:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:"

Well now that I have had a PROPER trip to York and not just for work training I can confirm your statement about bankrupcy. As soon as I get paid LOADS is going towards my cc as it took a bit of a beating today. Needless to say I DID NOT get a no spend day :rotfl:must try harder tomorrow...

Lotti379 ur stamps scenario sound like a real money moral dilemma :) I'd feel bad too, but I probably wouldn't take them the money :o legally yours once ur off the premisis

LMH- sending u a hot ribena, feel better soon
