I've just took mine out of the oven and it smells beautiful! I didn't have a small cake tin deep enough so i ended up using my heart shaped tin... Anyone ever seen a heart shaped christmas cake before?? Lol

Baldock had LOADS of these this morning. Got one of each. The cupcakes are in the oven as we speak, ready for school Christmas Fair tomorrow.

Popped out and got this last night, thanks OP! Was perfect timing as DD is off school due to strikes and we'd planned to make the Xmas cake today, so this saved me the time, hassle and expense of taking her to Tesco today to buy the separate ingredients

I too had looked at these when they were full price and decided to pass it by but when I saw your post about them being half price I went to Mr T's this morning and bought one along with an orange and a lemon and can now state that my Christmas cake is baking in the oven as I type. Thanks again
