    Wow another Swindonian!! Lol. I went in their the other day and they said that had none *humph* where abouts where they? By the baking isle at an end like before?

    :)

    Hi! They had a small display of them on the end of the cake isle, then a huge pile of them on the end of the isle with all the christmas chocolates. :)
  • Hi, has anyone managed to get the cupcake kit at any stores in Harlow or local to harlow?
    Thanks
  • For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.

    Oh i must go to tesco today! Cant turn my nose up at £2! Just made the cupcakes with my 2 year old but we burnt them slightly, oops!
  • OK daft question. If I get a kit and bake the cake before use by date which seems to be end of February would the cake keep until June. Thinking I could make one for my SIL birthday and know they keep a couple of months but not sure if it would keep for nearly 4 months.

    Or would it freeze I've frozen most things but never a fruit cake.

    I made the cupcakes and they went down really well with everyone.

    Thank you in advance
  • Why has it got a best before Feb on it I have looked and can't see what would go out of date??
    :rotfl::rotfl: I am now a Cereal Glitcher :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Anyone know if the cupcakes are reduced too? We liked them, just not the icing and would like to make them again.

    According to my chef OH, you can make up the cake complete with marzipan but not icing and either keep it in a completely airtight tin or freeze it for months.

    I got 3 of these kits on Friday for £3 each...knew I should have waited til they dropped down further! :rotfl:

    By the way the T's in Atherton, Greater Manchester has loads of the cake kits but hardly any cupcakes - they are in front of the tills when you walk in. ;)
