Well done snailmail. But I'm worried how your balance is going up if you've been overpaying? Have you been putting new things on the card? I thought minimum payments always included all the interest incurred, otherwise you could never reduce the balance with just minimum payments...
I had a card that was like this  the minimum would not cover the interest. I had to be very careful to ensure I overpaid it.No 36 again...just had to a PAD of 35.00 to make my debt now 14999...so glad to be in the 14's!! Also Ive now paid 53% of total debt and have worked out since Dec 10 have paid 16944...what could I have done with that money???
I need to get this debt paid off asap in light of the cancer diagnosis as this is a secret debt...hubby has never known and if the worse came about I do not want him to be saddled with it.Im feeling positive but I have to think about the worse case scenario as well so another very important reason to pay this off asap.
Happy Friday all....now onto the 13's!!
Well done jacci, you've done so well. You'll have it cleared in no time. I know what you mean though, I do worry that if something happened to me, my hubby would be stuck with all this (it's in my name so not liable, but still a hassle)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". After a VERY difficult month £700 paid against overdraft so am now below the limit
Don't know now whether to kill off overdraft or cc - what do you think
Well done danetastic - generally the idea is to clear the one with the highest interest first, so that is probably what I would do"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

We've never had PPI so these companies phoning telling me that I can claim thousands back and then asking me if I'm absolutely sure I've never paid it don't get the politest answers! But I know DH had gap insurance on our old car as that was only a few months old, and I expect the car before that as that one was brand new. How do you go about claiming that back?
I'm almost at the £800 mark, current total is £796.12/£2000.
That's £15 paid off the Very today and Cap1 statement came out today, cleared £24.57. I do hate how much comes off compared to how much is paid but needs must and if cars need fixing, they need fixing unfortunately. Besides robbing the post office not an awful lot of choice. I'm expecting to get them pretty much paid off when we get a major breakdown.
I wondered but never did anything about it but got a letter from Bank of Scotland about it (loan was through the AA) and basically because I had shares/savings etc that could have covered the difference they gave me a refund. I suggest finding out who underwrote the loan for the car and contacting them. They asked me like a couple of questions and that was it.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
