allotments
Options
I have come across the following petition, which can be signed online, its a request to the government to increase the amount of land made available to allotments.
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/allotments/
I do believe that the value of allotments is immense, both to the community, healthwise and also increases greenspaces for wildlife, helps surface drainage etc etc
I have signed it and wondered if others would like to as well....

Hi all
There is currently a petition about the gvt not allowing councils to sell allotments on, but keeping them open.
It's always worth a punt in my opinion, so if you are interested in keeping a major money saving resource, then please sign and pass this link to anyone who you think would be interested.
Many Thanks

Thanks for this. Makes my blood boil, we have an allotment and over the years the council has been nicking plots on the sly and all of a sudden the museum is having a large extension built - you've guessed it - on the land pinched from the allotments! Now I am reading in the local paper that two allotment sites are up for grabs for building new houses on. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr0
