I'm in big trouble as DS2 has discovered I gave away some of his star wars lego a year ago and he has just missed it.
Well, it's taken us a year to realise we've lost the "bung" for the inflatable bed. Only discovered after the guests arrived. They're still coming back for Christmas so we must be doing something right. Maybe it's  if they had a rubbish stay, they don't remember:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hi All
Thanks for the list this week Kazwookie. Hope you ladies are all well. Posting from work again today, never seem to have time to get on at night, OH is dayshift this week which is easier on me at nights as he is there to help until 8pm anyway (he is up at 2.30 am:eek:)
After a few weeks of non-stop crafting, I am back in with a vengeance this week. My ensuite now has been gyprocked (sp?) the pipework all sorted and the shower tray went in position yesterday….yay!!!:T:T so finally now the tiling can begin, hopefully not too much longer to wait now before I have a shower again! Even though its up at the top of the house, the dust has been terrible so I have been flying a little. Craft fayre on Saturday went well, although was left with a lot so this Sunday I am doing another smallish event so hopefully I will get rid of some more, whats left will be getting put on ebay. I have finished all of my Christmas shopping, even crackers wrap & cardsI am not doing my room properly until the ensuite is finished, there is no point, so I will substitute this with an extra half hour ironing per day.;)

Hi all
Its Money Saving Diva's OH.
Just wanted to say hi and thank you to everyone for your kind thoughts and candle lighting on and around Fri 14 for the scattering of Sonjas ashes. It really was and is appreciated.
Those of you that knew MSD will know how keen she was to save money and enjoyed the thrill of cash back etc.
When I was arranging Sonjas funeral, I chose the Co-op and they told me early on that if the bill was paid within 28 days then I could get a discount on the bill. I thought that was good and Sonja would be pleased that even in death she was saving money.
Imagine my surprise when last week I received a letter from the Co-op to confirm that my dividends of £23 will be paid into my bank shortly!!
Surely thats dedication to the cause... saving money 10 months later!
Best wishes to everyone.
Ian
I really did chuckle at this, thanks
Oh, and I'm happy to say that the stripping of the walls to enable the painting of our kitchen (well, the bits I couldn't reach) has been started while I am at work so I haven't had to do any of the clearing before hand! :j So we'll have all the walls the same colour and all the ceiling the same colour:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I did have a head start as I sold the shower screen which had been in the hall for weeks at the weekend and also got rid of the bureau from there too.

I have my old one sitting, upstairs, I may advertise it now but how much do I ask for it, we changed to a cubicle so I have no idea how much these cost?:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Ian - your post really made me smile! Thank you xx
I'm in this week but I seem to be spending today doing the washing. DH and children went to stay with his parents and his mum smokes so everything needs washing. They all had a fabulous time though so it's a small price to pay. Think i'll do the accounts whilst this lot finishes and then look at the list. I did only say i'd look at it :green: xx0 -

Just phone the dr's surgery and been told by reception, 'Kaz blood results are back, they are normal, no need to see a dr, bye' and hangs up, what the fck, ...........does that mean I have beaten Type 2, does that mean I don't have to take my tablets any more? when do I have to go for my next blood test or don't I any more?
Going to give it 1/2 hour and call back and ask to speak to the dr, hoping the same person doesn't answer the phone, grrr. They have never done that to me before, and normally are so good.
Ok had phone appointment, and guess what.............................
I seems I have beaten Type 2,:T:T:T:T:T:T no more tablets for 3 months to see how I get on, no more blood tests for 6 months, no blood pressure or urine tests for 6 months .........................:j:j:j:j
But with a warning, if I put on weight / eat too much sugar, soft drinks were my failing etc, type 2 may come back later on in life.
Seems I am one of a very few people in this area to have beaten it, and that is mainly down to the weight loss , eating salads, drinknig nothing but water!!!
Dr said if he didn't have any notes on me, and only the blood results in front of him, he would never know / known I had type 2!!!:D:D:D:D

Got the washing in because it's getting gloomy and dark now, nothing really dry so it's all spread round the radiators and airer now.
At least it makes the house smell nice when the heating comes on.0 -
