            Not when this applies:
 There is always a seller:
 Debt.
 Divorce.
Death. [Including bankruptcy - defined as "living death"]

Very limited stock. That's like only being able to purchase in the end of year sales. Nice if they happen to have what you want in your size/colour, but rarely happens.
If you want the right house in the right location (particulalry if you're time bound - job relocation - baby on the way etc.) then you will have to pay the price that the seller says or you don't get the property.0

The value of land is worth what you can sell a completed development for less your costs and profit.
Amazing that you can get into arguments over something that is so obvious 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. This is where a tax on building land that is not being developed would be a good idea. Currently there is a lot of land which is being mothballed until it becomes more profitable to build on. If there was a substantial cost to just sitting on this land then it would an incentive to either build on it, or sell to someone that would.
Might hurt the speculators a little though.0

It isn't a scam. The climate really is changing.
No snow on kilamanjaro in summer any longer, ice cap in the north shrinking, ice shelves in antarctica breaking up. Ask the soloman islanders whose land is shrinking weekly with the rising seas?
but go on, call it a conspiracy. Just bury your head in the sand.0

Climate may be changing, nothing us in the UK can do about it though. We need to adjust to live with it rather than enter a futile and costly battle to combat it.0

Anyone who thinks that the climate is not changing is in the same camp as those who think there is no such thing as HIV or AIDS.0

It's been changing since long before mankind has been around, it's also been far warmer in the last 2000 years at times.0

Oh look, it's Chicken Little. And the usual pejoratives, but no reasonable debate or evidence. Just like when people say I'm fed up with immigration, they get shouted down as a racist.
Meanwhile Climategate II continues with the global warmer alarmists being found out again for lying and trying to conceal the truth.0
