    Mortgage-free Glee!
Think I'll keep an eye on this thread from affar. Having paid for my place a couple of years ago I've just made a new mortgage application for 151K. Fingers crossed we'll be in for February. Needless to say, I don't plan on taking 25 years to get rid. Good luck everyone.

  • Wow, page 6 and I have only just found out that the 2012 spreadsheet has been started. I would like to set a target of £12,000 overpayment for 2012. These savings will be put in my offset account so will still reduce my interest rate.

Thanks to OM and Spiggle for taking over from Cake.

My Offest mortgage is repayment and when I made an online payment I only paid a few pounds to 'test' it like you. If you do contact them, I'd be interested to know if online payments are still capital and repayment.

I checked up with their mortgage contact centre and apparently any residential mortgage with Natwest if overpaid through online banking pays off the capital alone!
