Hiya, not sure if it counts but i OP'd £100 in Jan and £100 in Feb 2012 but never added them to the spreadsheet or my totals as it was before i joined the challenge. Not sure if these need adding to the spreadsheet and if they do maybe there are others who made OP's before joining the challenge and so did not declare them?

Just checked and I've had my standing order in place since October, so overpaid £24.24 in October, November and December, so add £72.72 to the total OP in 2012 :)
  • ive just got my yearly mortgage report and find out that my fixed rate ends in may after which the mortgage rate goes down. So I think Im going to stop paying any more money off until my new mortgage rate kicks in as this will give me more benefit. I might even be able to reduce the term as well

    Hello all,

Thanks ecoelle, your January and February payments are now noted and are a great help.

Thanks too Barny, your OP is now added and moves that little bit closer.

Mothershipton I think you meant to post this on the 2013 thread!

    Thanks and all the best,

Hey, I'm really disappointed I wasn't aware of this challenge running (I'm all signed up for the 2013 one!) as I made my first ever overpayment in Jan 2012, caught the bug, and made a total of £5050 OPs over the course of 2012. I'd have actually helped you guys achieve your £million :(
    Mortgage debt : -£17,000
    2019 overpayments : £23,000

Oh, what a shame OS QS! At least you're now on the 2013 thread. That was a brilliant total for the year, well done.

    All the best,
