    Good morning from number 27

I'm afraid I've rather fallen off the wagon the last few (6 ?) months. Some OP has still happened, but also a lot of juggling with budgets. I'm just finalising it all then will come back and post (in next few days) what OPing has happened and check my target.

Also need to work out how to show where we've put extra funds into the off-set savings, so not an extra OP but means we save on interest so a little bit more is being cleared off the mortgage just from our normal paymet - probably easiest to not worry about it (makes my brain hurt:rotfl:)

    thanks

Makes me think, I have 'tonnes' to live up too :)

Well I can confirm, we will have maxed Sept's OP of £500, which will go across on 2/9/2012 :)

That will make the first 3 months at MAXIMUM overpayment WOOT, WOOT, WOOT

Target till the end of the year is £3,000 and we will have paid £1,500 , long live OP MFWsssss

    Happy Payday!!

Last month was a bit spendy - decorating, new bread maker ;), leccy bill , chimney sweep, so I've failed in my own mini challenge to pull together £1000 op.

But striving for that has meant that I have achieved £800 for my August op, thanks Spiggle. :T.

Completely skint for Sept now...hope I don't have to borrow any back...

Keep up the good work, everyone!

    LB xx

    Morning All,

Got the engineers in at the mo doing central heating and contemplating taking our tom cat to the vets as he is eating very little and has lost loads of weight. Don't know if he's pining for his sis or if he's 'getting on' as she was. We'll see.

Well done Marie27lol, all updated for you for September.

That's truly fantastic LavenderBees, well done and all updated for you.

    See you later,

    Hello!

I've just made August's OP of £600. £100 over our £500 aim, so I'm really chuffed. Hopefully we'll be under the £100,000 mark next month :D

The money that's left in our current account is burning a hole in my pocket - becoming addicted to poring over my spreadsheet wondering how much money I can move to either savings or mortage each month. Roll on next Friday when i know exactly how much I can squirrel away!

  • Hey Spigs.

Hope tom cat is ok. Do keep us updated on how he does.

No 120 here. August OP of £128 made. Was a bit tough getting this all together this month. Had kids uniform, shoes (x 4 pairs! ) and school stationery to buy. Yowzers.

    Take care all.

Thanks MoneyMission, he's had a blood test and just awaiting the result now. He's lost 1.25kg in the last five weeks so need to find out if there is anything underlying there.

You've done so well in getting the OP together when you've had so much school kit to buy. Amazing! All updated for you.

    See you later,

    hey all,

sorry i havnt been on for a few months have been saving for a holiday, we have landed spending much more than we expected to so we are putting overpayments off for the rest of this year so that we can catch back up with the added debt

i will be back next year to try again but for this year i am afraid i am done :( .... i still intend on paying off my mortgage earlier than the bank expects but will have to go the long route i think

    good luck
