Thank you all for your very kind thoughts.
I've updated everyone from the posts and from the googledoc.
Glitterball you put your payment on the googledoc for June though you had already made a payment of the same amount for June. Please may I check that you meant it for June rather than July?
A big welcome to our latest challenger mothershipton who joins us at No. 157. Good luck for the remaining year.
Wahay!!! Well done everyone, we just passed the half a million overpaid for 2012. Absolutley brilliant!!!
So today I'll find out if I've got any of my accounts for the past three years left on my desktop computer. If not, I have a great deal of spreadsheet building to do again! I will be spending money this month on an external hard drive and will be backing up on a very regular basis. Big lesson learnt.
See you all later,

OP of £10,000 about to be made.
I had set myself a target of £20,000 by August so I should easily achieve this. I will be setting myself a new target in September (in the region of another £9,000 - £12,000 by the end of the year) but will decide for sure when we return from our summer holiday.
Thanks,

Oops. A day late. Was away and no internet connection
OK. I've decided to throw £2,250 at the mortgage this month. £887.41 is my regular payment, which means the remaining £1,362.59 is an overpayment.
So, adding these into the year to date totals gives the picture below for July:
#29 - Overpay by £10,400.00.
Month: Ideal Pay / Ideal Total / Ideal % / Actual Pay / Actual Total (Diff) / Actual %
January: 866.67 / 866.67 / 8.33% / 862.59 / 862.59 (-4.08) / 8.29%
February: 866.67 / 1,733.33 / 16.67% / 1,202.59 / 2,065.18 (+331.85) / 19.86%
March: 866.67 / 2,600.00 / 25.00% / 1,112.59 / 3,177.77 (+577.77) / 30.56%
April: 866.67 / 3,466.67 / 33.33% / 1,112.59 / 4,290.36 (+823.69) / 41.25%
May: 866.67 / 4,333.33 / 41.67% / 1,112.59 / 5,402.95 (+1,069.62) / 51.95%
June: 866.67 / 5,200.00 / 50.00% / 1,212.59 / 6,615.54 (+1,415.54) / 63.61%
July: 866.67 / 6,066.67 / 58.33% / 1,362.59 / 7,978.13 (+1,911.44) / 76.71%
Total overpaid: £7,978.13
Which means I'm already three quarters of the way there :j
Don't anticipate being able to make any further overpayments as £2,250 is at the very ceiling of what I can afford per month. If this works out and I've not trashed my cash flow, I intend to rinse and repeat next month.

Hi Spigs, I'm not as active on here as I once was but I read back a little bit and saw that you had lost your cat.... I'm so sorry to hear this, it's awful when you lose a pet, they are like a member of the family. Sending hugs xxx0
